Time................

For a new challenge at Eclecctic Ellapu and surprising our theme this week is

Time

Sandie from the  Pink Team is our host this week and Sandie would love to see your projects that depict time!

For my project I have used a poem about time to create the background paper which I have repeated through the page then inked it to age. I used an image downloaded from Digital Two for Tuesday, the antique pocket watch image was a png image so I have rotated it and used it three times to create my central image.

I used some vintage paper from my huge stack from Costco and stamped with some cracked letter stamps I have in my stash that were Docraft sets from eons ago!

I hope you will come on over with all your time related projects and join us in this weeks challenge - I can't wait to see what you make!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

A Very Sassy Anniversary!

Today Sassy Design Studio are celebrating their 4th Anniversary, Yay!!
Where would we all be without these luscious ladies? I have to say I am a self confessed Sassy addict and will colour these beauties up at any opportunity!
I have had the privelege this month of being Guest Designer for these gorgeous images and I have loved every minute.
What a way to end my term as GD - a fantabulous blog hop featuring the new releases for June!
For my card I have used Bubblegum, a very gorgeous teenager with attitude!

For my background I used some pink paper with mirror silver spots, I ahve edged it with some grey satin ribbon and used my favourite rivets to fix to the paper! I have used some tin foil scruched up then brayered flat for the scalloped die cut. The sentiment is silver embossed and blinged up as diamonds are a girls best friend! A couple of grey ribbons and some hearts and thats it!

I coloured her with my usual Promarkers!

You should have arrived here from the lovely Lori's, if not go back to the beginning and take the hop, there are some prizes hidden on the way so don't forget to leave a comment on each blog to be in with a chance of winning some Sassy ladies!

There are some amazing projects on the way, how clever are these Sassies?!?!

Girlz Rool!!!

The new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty is - GIRL POWER!! Now we all agree with a bit of girlie rule I'm sure!

For my card I have used an image from one of our sponsors, Sassy Design Studio.

Now who better for a bit of girl power than Cinderella!

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used some Lucy Cromwell paper for the background, I framed the whole thing with some bling on a string and added my own sentiment that is glittered within an inch of its life!

My psuedo neice has her school prom on Saturday so this card is going her way as its been a struggle for her Mum to get it together for her to go to the ball!

Why not pop over to Penny's and show us your girl power!

Hope to see you soon!!

Honky Tonk Hero!

Hello everyone, Tuesday again - doesn't time fly! The Color Challenge at the Outlawz this week has a really great theme and it was chosen by Guylou before she stepped down from the DT.

Now how cool are those guys and what a great challenge!

I have to say at first I went Duh! Then I got to think about it and lo and behold got this really neat digi free from Raspberry Road!

I so love this image - well I so love honky tonk actually and I know just the person who will love this card when their birthday comes around.

The image is from Raspberry Road and may still be on their blog for free. The background paper is from the Fizzy Moon collections by Trimcraft, the musical note was rescued from a Christmas card and the sentiment came with the guitar, all the colouring is donw with Promarkers!

I really hope you will join us for this fun challenge and don't forget that if you enter  you will be put into the monthly draw!

Hope to see you there! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

My Lady Elenor!

Another post from me OMG I've been a busy bee this week!

Lacy Sunshine's wonderful artist is celebrating the one year anniversary of the creation of Elenor who very soon had Pickles join her!
This card features the very first Elenor Bookworm and I thought it was the right image to use for this celebration!

I teamed her up with some papers from my stash, a little ribbon, a little lace and the mandatory bling!
I decided she would look good as a redhead and she definetely does!

I coloured her with Promarkers - doesn't she look a studious gal?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

I will be entering this into the following:

French Honey!

It's time for another Dare to Be Sassy challenge at Sassy Design Studio. This weeks challenge is to make a CAS card!
Now most people that love Sassy ladies don't do CAS - we like lots of bling, flowers, ribbons, lace and pretty thing to showcase our ladies!
For my GDT card I used French Honey as she is so gorgeous on her own she just doesn't need anything else!

I had to give her a tiny bit of bling - it wouldn't be right otherwise would it? I used a royal blue gloss card for the base and added some red mirri board, the corners have been cut with a Martha Stewart punch, a white organza bow and some diamond hearts - that's it!

I coloured her with Promarkers and she is definitely a honey!

Come on over to SSD and join in the fun, check out the wonderful cards from the design team to give you inspiration!
Hope to see you there! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!

Sassy Army!

Another quick post from me today this time it's a sassy lady! In fact its a sassy army honey! Over at PCP the Sassy Design Studio group have started a progressive freebie challenge and challenge #2 has begun with this honey!

I coloured her with Promarkers and used some great camouflage paper for the background. I added a littlemesh through the middle and as the challenge is about patriotism I added some Union Flags! To finish of I added some buttons with some distressed raffia tied through them!
I hope you like my sassy honey and why not get over to PCP and join in the challenge - this month if you complete the army sassy, you will get the airforce honey and if you finish that one before the end of the challenge you will get the navy honey, can't be bad!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Yay! It's Hop Time!!

This is my first blog hop as part of the DT for Scrappers Delights.  You should have arrived here from Valerie's if not go back to the beginning and hop along to see all the wonderful creations from the team! Leave a comment on each blog as there are some prizes on the way and you wouldn't want to miss out!!
My card for this hop uses the wonderful digi Kyoko Super Hero 4, which can be found here.

What a fun image this is! I cut my base card from some white card then layered it up with some navy then the turquoise star paper that is an old Papermania paper but fitted what I wanted perfectly! I coloured the image with Promarkers and mounted it onto some navy that has some stars punched from the corners, I added some bling stars to the corner. The sentiment is mine and coloured to match with Promarkers.

So this is the order for the hop I really hope you enjoy seeing all the wonderful creations on display!! Most of all have fun!!!

Think with a Flourish!

The new challenge has started at Penny's Paper Crafty and this week we would like you to add a flourish!
For my card I used the lovely Lily Fairy from one of this week's sponsors Crafty Sentiments.

I used some pretty pink pearl card to make my base card and topped it with some yellowy green paper that I found in my stash. I cut the image out using an oval die cutter and backed it with some deep pink card cut using a scalloped oval. I cut my flourishes from the same card and added some pink spotty ribbon through the centre, the sentiment is a chipboard sentiment I got free with a magazine and I had to add the statutory bling!
Pop on over to Penny's and join in the fun - there are some great prizes and we'd love to see your wonderful creations!
I hope to see you there - thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!

Thoughts of Summer

This week's challenge at Eclectic Ellapu was chosen by Asha from the Pink Team.
Asha would like to see your creations that depict Summer, sunshine, solstice, longest day- what says summer to you?

Summer to me is yellow and blue, sunshine and blue skies; it's also dragonflies and butterflies, flowers and sitting outside enjoying nature.

Well I thought I'd crack out some stamps from the Stampman that I've had forever and not really used. So I got my stamps and found some Kraft card and stamped it up. I then thought I'd use Twinkling H2o's to colour with as they are so beautiful and always look sprakly and bright like summer should! I do have lots of them so I chose my colours and primed them up ready to paint. I was painting away and the phone rang so I reached across the desk and hey presto a li'l pot of paint flew up and went everywhere! It was too late to start again so I went to bed. Next night I thought I'd give it another go, so I stamped up my card (yey, I still had all the masks!) started painting and was very nearly finished and got catted! Boy those little pots do go a loooonnnng way!
I had just about given up on this challenge as a 'not to be' then decided yesterday afternoon I would crack it - and here it is, ta, da!

I layered up the dragonfly wings using some parchment and I glittered the edges, I also used some black glitter for the bodies of the dragonflies. The sentiment is heat embossed and the stamp is from one of the sets that the other stamps are from. I used a little lace to finish it off.
I'm glad I finished it and think it was worth persevering!
I hope you will join us for this challenge, show us what summer is for you - lets brighten up the world with summer colours and summer dreams!

See you over at Eclectic Ellapu soon!

The theme for this challenge is 'Disney Vacation' and we would like to see your Disney Princesses in all their glory or get out a Disney Villian and make them dazzle!
For my card I chose to use Honey Ariel I think she is so gorgeous!

I used some papers from my stash for the background. I cut the corners using a Memory Box die and a Spellbinders die from some glittered yellow card. I dressed them up with some deep turquiose flower gems and the beautiful resin rose that I was sent from Italy!

I coloured her with a mix of Promarkers and Spectrum Noirs and I think she is so darned cute!

A Wise Old Owl.....

Wednesday again - and a new Challenge has started over at Penny's Paper Crafty. This week's theme is a recipe; one image, two papers and three embellishments.

This weekend we have a friend's birthday and he is a lovely chap but doesn't drink, dance or make a fool of himself so is very difficult to make a card for! So when I chose my image from Limited Runs who are one of the sponsors of our challenge, I must have had this birthday in mind!

meet Theo the owl from Limited Runs! I had such fun colouring him; those big eyes are great and he kept looking at me to make sure I coloured him well!
For my papers I used some gorgeous masculine papers that I got from Costco a couple of years ago, there are so many papers it still looks like I've not used any and I've used loads!
For my embellishments I have used some buttons tied off with some raffia.

I coloured him up with a mix of Promarkers and Spectrum Noir's. The sentiment is my own.

I hope you like Theo if you want him you will find him here.

Do call over to Penny's for this fun challenge! There are some great prizes to be had as well so I hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to see you here again soon!

Tuesday see's the new challenge at the Outlawz and this week's inspiration was chosen by Ina

How gorgeous is that, what better inspiration can you get than beautiful roses! So for my card I have use the beautiful image from Delicious Doodles

I used some apricot papers I found in my stash for the background and coloured up a doily heart with dusky pink Promarker, I coloured up the image with Promarkers then popped up the three main roses to add a little dimension. I found the gorgeous cream roses lace across the bottom on a market stall and couldn't resist it!

Here Comes the Bride!

A new Dare to be Sassy challenge started today with the theme of June Bride! And..............Ta, Da! I'm Guest Designer for the month of June!

For my card I used the lovely bride digi -

She is such a lovely girlie that you don't need lots of distractions so I used some Centura Pearl white for my base card and embossed some pearl pink paper which I have edge with some silver 'lace' cut with a Spellbinders die, a pretty lacey heart, some roses and some bling - what more could a girl want!

I coloured my Sassy Bride with Promarkers and I think any bride would be happy to have a beautiful dress like that!

Wednesday and the Sun's still Shining, YAY!!!

It really must be summer (while it lasts). Well it is Wednesday and the new challenge is on over at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge. This week's challenge is one that we all love and it's not Anything Goes - it's                                                      Birthdays!

We all have plenty of those to make! This week's challenge is sponsored by:

For my card I have used an image from Eureka

I made a 6 x 6 cream card and layered it up with some shocking pink card and some papers from Nit Wits. I used the out of the box technique for the image as I thought the balloons would look cute outside of the circle and I layered the image onto a scalloped circle also cut from Nit Wits paper. The sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments and I love these tickets - so cute! I coloured the image with Promarkers and finished the balloons with some Starlight gel pen then some Glossy Accent.

He is such a happy cat! I hope you will join us at Penny's for this great challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you there!

Sassy Lady!

Quick post from me this morning! I was asked to make a card by someone who's friend will be 50 this week. She teach kids from underprivileged areas to dance so what else could I do than this

I have to say this is one of my favourite images from Sassy Design Studio it seems to fit the bill for all sorts of occasions!
I teamed her up with some gorgeous paper from Raspberry Road, added some lace and some organza ribbon and a touch of bling! The numbers were cut on my Cricut and then glittered to death with the same glitter I have used on the dancer.

I coloured her with Promarkers and made sure she had plenty of sparkle!!

I had just finished this card and started colouring up another SSD image when I spotted an email to say I have been chosen as Guest Designer for Sassy Design Studio this month, woohoo! That means I get to colour up lots of Sassy Ladies - watch out for my next Sassy Lady and some more exciting news I will share with you all later.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you all again soon!

Is it Summer Yet?

I was just wondering - we went for a spontaneous drive yesterday and ended up in Prestatyn in Wales. Found a lovely craft shop and as I was so skint Al bought me some goodies, lucky me! So today may be play time, lol!
My other task is to try and find a cheap holiday somewhere warm, I'll keep you posted on that one!
The new challenge is up at Eclectic Ellapu and this week it is hosted by the Pink team and the theme that was chosen by May is anything with wings - that leaves you plenty of scope!

For a change I made a box - I printed the card with a Raspberry Road digital paper, I edited the size in Photoshop to print it out in a 6 inch square then printed two copies.

The butterfly is a die cut from Marianne which I cut from some cerise glitter card and some pink glitter card, I stuck them back to back with the cerise on the underside.

I edged it round with some silver vintage edging and used some pewter chain for the top with a dash of cerise ribbon. I used some lace flowers and added pearls to the centre and added a twirl of silver.
I hope you'll all come over and join us in this challenge cos I'm sure you will have something with wings in your recent makes, I've seen some lovely fairies about as well as the birds and butterflies - there's even some cute littles bees about too!
Come over and check out the fabulous work from the design team, woohoo, it is amazing!
Just click on the page at the top and it will take you straight there!
See you soon!
