Guys and Dolls!

Happy Wednesday peeps! This week's challenge at Penny's Is Guys and Girls, so we want to see you Girlie projects or the guy ones!

We have two great sponsors this week, the wonderful Sassy Studio Designs who are the perfect image for those girlie projects and Dr Digi who have some of the funniest guys on the net!

I am using a Dr Digi image this week and he is quintessentially British!

I coloured him with Promarkers/Flexmarkers/Copics - I think he's great and would be perfect for a retirement card for a man!

I teamed him up with some guy type papers that I have had in my stash forever!

I hope you will come over to Penny's Paper Crafty and join us this week, we'd love to see what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll stop by again soon!

Magical Mystery Tour!

Tuesday's Color Challenge over at the Outlawz has started and this week it was my turn to pick the inspirational picture

I have always loved the Beatles and I remember this album well! So what other twist could ther be than make it musical!

For my card I couldn't decide which three colours I wanted to us so I used them all!

I made a fun card with strips of colour and I used some vintage instruments that I have coloured in the challenge colours too.

The sentiment was printed out on Word.

I do hope you will come over and join us for this fun challenge we'd love to see you!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I'll see you again soon!

Another Pretty!!

I've been playing again and coloured the beautiful Rose Fairy from Aurora Wings. I don't have many Copics yet but I do have lots of pinks! I like pink!!! So practice makes perfect and I've got a long way to go before I'm anywhere near perfect but here she is

I've used lots of different pink Copics and some Promarkers to colour it, I used  some Gelly rollers to highlight the blues around the roses and her eyes.

Lots of die cuts too! I used dies from Spellbinders, Marianne and Joanna Sheen.

Hope you like her and thanks for stopping by, hope you'll call again soon!

Layer It Up!

This week's challenge at Penny's is - Lots of Layers!

Our sponsor this week is Pink Gem Designs who have such a wide variety of digi's you will be spoilt for choice!

I chose a vintage image called "Martha", she has an Edwardian look to her and I would guess she's from around 1900. At that time girl's didn't wear pink - pink and the red colours were for boys, girls wore blue - this is what I came up with:

As you can see I have pllenty of layers! I coloured her with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and the sentiment is from Jak Heath, I thought it was great for this card. I had some lovely vintage paper in my stash and added some layers of blue card, a little lace, some ribbon and pearls.
I hope you will come over and join us in this challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty, we'd love to see your layers!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!!

Yey! Tuesday!!

And it's the Color Challenge at the Outlawz!

This week's inspirational picture was chosen by Lindsay - isn't it gorgeous!

How cute are they and what a great challenge!

For my card I used a digi from our very own Roxann!

I coloured her with Promarkers/Flexmarkers. The background paper is a lush paper pad from Prima. I thought this was the perfect background! I layered it up onto some dark grey card and mounted onto a card blank cut from Centura Pearls. I added some pale green ric rac and cut some butterflies using a Signature die from pale green glitter card and I finished them off with some grey pearls and grey gems.

I hope you will come over and join us this week for this lovely challenge - we'd love to see you!

Thanks  for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Show Us Anything but a Card!

Yep that's right - the new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu wants to see Anything But A Card!

Well I've been playing with a bit of up cycling! Over Christmas we had more sweeties than I care to admit and they came in all sort of tubes and containers. I used some of the jars in my craftroom to keep different bits and bobs in and then I had a tube......

I really needed a container for my long paintbrushes, all the shorter ones are in a short container and the long ones do not fit so I decided to upcycle one of the sweetie tubes!

I used a base pant then glittered the whole body with some champagne glitter, Added some lace to the top and a die cut fence in some pearlised white card, the face was a gift from our own lovely Elaine and I painted it with mother of pearl acrylic paint. I edged in some pearls and added a fan cut from pearlised card.

I hope you will come over to Eclectic Ellapu this week and show us you projects - what have you been making, we're dying to see!

See you soon!

Poppies.....

Now I don't know about you but I love poppies - they always shout summer to me, driving down the motorway anywhere in this country you will suddenly come across a field of red and it lifts your heart!
When I saw this beautiful image from Aurora Wings I had to have it! I didn't know if my colouring skills were good enough but I wanted to try and colour it and all in all I think it turned out quite well - what do you think

isn't that just divine! I coloured the image with a mix of Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Copics - yes I am finally being converted - as my Promarkers run out I am buying Copics in their place.
I used a Centura Pearls Snow White card as my base which has a beautiful lustre, I mounted the image onto some black card then some red, I tried all sorts of die cuts but decided that the image said it all so went with a simple mount and let the image say it all!
I will have some more of Mitzi's fabulous images to show you soon, I'm in love!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon
I am entering this into these challenges:

Penny's

Well my post is soooo late but Penny's challenge started yesterday and this week the theme is Monochrome!
I'm never sure what monochrome is - when I was a kid it was black and white and all shades in between as in monochrome photographs so that's what I went with!

I have used a fabulous image and sentiment from Bugaboo that is so true for me and several of my friends, lol!

I have, used a selection of black and white papers from the Paper Cellar matted onto black card a white ribbon and a flower coloured black with a pearl centre. Coloured with Promarkers as ever, lol!

I hope you can join us at Penny's Paper Crafty this week for our fun challenge - hope to see you there!

Tuesday people and that can only mean the Color Challenge at the Outlawz!

So for my card I have used this fabulous image from Sassy Cheryl - I do so love her work - and this one is adorable!

now doesn't that have the aaahhh factor!

I coloured the image with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and used a red card as my base, I added some peel off black lines and hearts and the bunting is from the Signature die from Joanna Sheen, I just cut it back to suit the words - I think you can just see the letters on the bunting!

So what colours would you use?

Come on over and join in the fun there are prizes to be won and you can join up with some great crafty people and have fun!

I hope to see you there!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Something Old, Something New!

That's the theme at Penny's this week!

What a great theme - as crafters we always have something new and I always have loads of stuff I've had forever because I like my new toys, lol!

I am using an image from our sponsor, The Paper Shelter, and she is just too cute!

I coloured her with Promarkers/Flexmarkers as always! The base card is a pearlised sugar pink and I have layered it with some gorgeous paper that I have had for a year or two, I cut out the image with an oval die cut and used a scalloped oval to layer her with. I added some lace them cut my butterflies using my new Signature Dies From the pearlised pink, some glitter pink and some pearlised white and to finish them off I have added some gems in pink and blue (although the pink look yellow!) that I have had for about five years - I bought hundreds of them when Docraft first brought out the little boxes of gems!

We'd love to see your 'Something Old and Something New' so get searching and show us what you come up with over at Penny's Paper Crafty!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Tuesday, Home, Cold and Back to Reality!

Hello well it's Tuesday and that can only mean one thing - the new Color Challenge at the Outlawz!

For everyone that knows I was away, well I'm back and it is so much colder than Spain! I'm hoping that this cute challenge is at least going to warm my heart!

Today's inspirational picture and twist was chosen by Roxann and aren't they just scrummy!

Our sponsor this month is none other than our own Roxann and you will see some of her cute digis used through the month!

For my card I have used an image from Mi Ran, I just fell in love with it and thought it was a cute one for a Valentine

I coloured her with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and cut her out, I used a Signature die for the fan and used the hearts from the fan cut outs, waste not want not! The papers I've had for ever, lol and I used some aqua glitter card for the centre, the letters were cut out using some very old dies and aqua glitter card. To finish I used some gloss pen on the bubbles!

I hope you'll come over and join us this week for this lovely challenge - you know you have to make some Valentines so this will be one more of the list!!

Thanks for stopping by - see you there! Now I'm going back to being cold and miserable in this rotten weather - see you again soon I hope!!

A Lovely Lady!

Morning everyone, a very quick post from me today to share a card I made that was published in the magazine Through the Craftroom Door.

The image is from Art by Mi Ran a relatively new digi artist who is producing the most fabulous work for us crafters! This digi was given away on Facebook during January as an introduction to the Etsy shop for Mi Ran's work.

I coloured her with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and layered her up with some gloss black card and some black glitter card, I have used it for a Valentine and added the sentiment heat embossed in Granite and layered onto black gloss card, finished with some punched hearts and red gems.

This is such a beautiful image and I have a couple more or her lovely works that I will be showing you soon, so why not check out the shop and see all the beautiful images!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll visit again soon!

Going for a Song!

Our second challenge at Dragonfly Dreams has got under way, this month our challenge was set by the lovely Lady Anne and she wants to see your projects inspired by a song!

This month we have the fabulous Stitchy Bear sponsoring us and I got to use this great digi from Scrappers Delight:

Now I love Phantom of the Opera, the music is divine and this great digi is perfect to portray him! I made the background from a My Craft Studio disc, using different elements to create the background. To give him depth I printed out two images and coloured the back one in grey to give a shadow effect, the image was coloured with Promarkers.Flexmarkers. The sentiment is just the first verse of the song that I pronted out and finished with a little inking.

I do hope you will join us this month for our challenge and don't forget the winner will get some great digis from our sponsor Stitchy Bear!

We're Back!!!

Yes after our long break over the holiday period Eclectic Ellapu are back with a vengeance!

Our first challenge comes from the Pink Team and we want to see Texture in your project! So let your imagination run wild and show us what you come up with!

For my project I made a card using Flitter Glitter, I so love that stuff!

The background is embossed then finished with Flitter Glitter, I have layered some velvet ribbons and chunky lace through the centre before placing my stamped and Flitter Glittered image from Indigo Blu, I adore their stamps as well!!

I hope you will come over and play with us this week and show us your lovely textured projects - we're all dying to see them!

See you again soon!
