Poppies.....

Now I don't know about you but I love poppies - they always shout summer to me, driving down the motorway anywhere in this country you will suddenly come across a field of red and it lifts your heart!
When I saw this beautiful image from Aurora Wings I had to have it! I didn't know if my colouring skills were good enough but I wanted to try and colour it and all in all I think it turned out quite well - what do you think

isn't that just divine! I coloured the image with a mix of Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Copics - yes I am finally being converted - as my Promarkers run out I am buying Copics in their place.
I used a Centura Pearls Snow White card as my base which has a beautiful lustre, I mounted the image onto some black card then some red, I tried all sorts of die cuts but decided that the image said it all so went with a simple mount and let the image say it all!
I will have some more of Mitzi's fabulous images to show you soon, I'm in love!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon
I am entering this into these challenges:

  2. It's absolutely beautiful and yes, I love poppies too. I've tried so many times to get some to grow in my garden but have been unsuccessful every time,. My sister had a huge bank of them and they looked lovely. Anyway, back to your card, it's beautifully coloured. Thank you so much for joining us at MAWTT. Hazel L. x
