Showers of Love

Happy Sunday everyone!

I am trying hard to catch up on all my DT stuff so that I can get to play with some other things, like the CDAC challenges!
I have had this image coloured for about 3 weeks but haven't had time to make it up - so finally

I thought this was a great image from Nana Vic when I got it and can be used for so many occasions. I coloured it up with Promarkers and added some gold gems for the spots. The background papers are from Desert in Bloom, Papermania and there are some lush papers in this pack. A pretty bow and some punched hearts finish it off nicely.
CDAC have some wonderful challenges going on and I would recommend anyone to try and make time to visit (you may stay a while!).

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Marilyn!

Today see's another challenge over at Penny's and this week it's what everyone loves, drum roll:

Anything Goes!

So what are you waiting for!

I used an image from one of our sponsors - Sassy Studio Design, I do so love these Sassy ladies! The image I have used is Marilyn Munroe and you couldn't get any more sassy than that!

I coloured her using Promarkers - that's such a classic pose for Marilyn!

I used some papers from my stash that are old Laura Ashley prints, I teamed it with some red card for layering and a nice gingham bow. To give her the pazz zazz that she needed I used a die cut in black glitter card and edged the frame around her with red bling!

A very Sassy Lady!!

I hope you will join us over at Penny's this week and I am really looking forward to seeing all the fab creations!

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit and hope you'll call again soon!

Christmas Challenge #4

The latest Christmas Challenge started over at Lady Annes yesterday!

I am so behind with my posts but better late than never, this month's sponsor is:
Priscilla Styles

For my card I used the image Little Skater, I don't know if you know but Priscilla is a skater and a very good one of competition standard, so she will know what a skaters pose would be and I think she's captured it perfectly!

I coloured the image with Promarkers then mounted her onto some cute Christmas paper from the Humphrey collection by Crafters Companion. I then added some die cuts cut using my Cricut, some lace and the lovely hearts that I found in a bargain bin at one of the craft shops, some star bling and voila!

Hope you like my interpretation of this image and I hope to see you over at the Christmas Progressive challenge - remember if you haven't joined and would like to get these lovely images and enter you can buy in for just £1; so what are you waiting for!!

See you there!

I'm Late......................but it was in the Stars!

I'm late with my posts this weekend I've been such a busy bee and I've finally got another car - oh my I can't tell you what a relief that is!

The new challenge has started at Eclectic Ellapu and this week's theme has been chosen by Dawn from the Pink Team and Dawn says -
" It's in the Stars"

You can interpret that in any way you wish! For my card I used the signs of the zodiac

I got all the zodiac signs together using Word and printed it of on some plain white card I then spritzed it with some gold mica spray, when it was dry I trimmed it and edged with some lovely lace that I picked up on Bury Market, all mounted on some navy card. Just to hedge my bets I added some star bling that are a browny gold colour and do actually match quite well!

So now we want to see your interpretation! I can't wait to see what you come up with and all the entries we get are so gorgeous we really love seeing your work!

I hope to see you over at Eclectic Ellapu to join in the fun - see you there!

Wedding Invitation...

Hello everyone, I have a slightly different post for you today.

The apprentice in our office is to be married in October and she wants a proper wedding! Her parents are not well off and neither are the parents of her fiance so its a wedding on a budget!

They looked at online wedding invitations but said the ones they could afford looked cheap and tacky so out of the blue she rang me and asked me how much I would charge to make their invitations!

Well I know they're on a tight budget so I said I would make them for the cost of the materials and I have just finished them, all 60!

I used a Memory Box die for the flourishes, heat embossed the sentiment in silver and added some royal and hot pink hearts. I don't think I would use that flourish to make so many again!

I printed the insides onto some nice cream paper in brown and of course had to make some boxes to keep them in (I just have to have boxes, lol).

I think they came out well - what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

White on White!

The new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty is to creat a white on white card, if you use an image you can colour it but all the background must be white!

Not easy!

For my card I used one of the images from our sponsor, Delicious Doodles - she does some amazing digi's you really have to check out her shop!

Isn't that just a fabulous image! I coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers using the pastel colours. For my background I used some cracked ice white card which has been layered with some white cotton lace, a heart doily and some grossgrain ribbon. I used a diamond heart gem for the centre of the bow and some pearls for the flower centres.

I hope you like my WOW card and that you will join us over at Penny's for this fabulous challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Love and Marriage

The new challenge at Eclectic Ellapu is hosted by Claire from the Pink Team and this weeks theme is " Congratulations"

Some time ago I did the blog hop for those wonderful ladies over at D4SJ and I won a digi - well this digi!

I have to say I was thrilled to bits to win this lovely image and I played around with it for a while before I settled on this card

I used a shaped card and some delish papers from Fizzy Moon from Trimcraft. I used some Alphabet stamps to make the Mr and Mrs which are heat embossed with silver along with the Wedding Wishes stamp.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used some very fine transluscent glitter with a hint of gold on her veil and dress - I just love his hand!

This is the outside of the card when closed

I finished the outside with another of the gorgeous papers from Fizzy Moon and added some pearl trim, white bows and some diamond hearts!

I hope you will come over to Eclectic Ellapu and join in this wonderful challenge - go and look at the fabulous projects our DT have come up with for your inspiration!

Sunny!

It actually was sunny today but the sunny I'm about to show you has nothing to do with the weather!
This is Sunny, she is the freebie image on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog and is one of the flowerpot poppets that the very talented artist Heather Valentin has created as her latest digi range, you can find  her digi's at her shop here. Definitely worth checking out!

I used some paper from the Paper Cellar for my background and some yellow embossed card. I added some touches of red with my ribbon and bling.

I coloured her up with Promarkers and I think she is so cute growing out of her pot!

I made this card specifically to enter into the challenge over at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog and this weeks theme is anything goes so why not pop over and join in!

Definitely Black, White and Red All Over!

Happy Wednesday!

There's a new challenge started at Penny's Paper Crafty. This week's challenge is to make a project using only black, white and red (you can use other colours in your image), now that's a fab colour combo and could be made up for every sort of card or project imaginable!

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo, who kindly gave the DT some digi's to play with!

For my card I have used this cute little fella

isn't he just too cute?

I coloured the image using Promarkers and for the background I used a selection of black and white papers that came from a very reasonably priced pack I picked up from the Range - I think they're by Papermania. I layered my base card with some red then some black and white. I cut four pieces of black and white paper and layered them onto some red then did some paper weaving! I inked the edges of the image with some red then added some red stars!

I hope you will come over to Penny's and join in the fun this week - I can't wait to see what you all make!

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate your visit and hope to see you again soon!

Nana Vic's New Challenge

Hello crafts friends!

The new Nana Vic challenges has started over at Lady Annes and I am so late with my post for reasons I mentioned earlier!

Nana Vic challenges are anything goes but if you use a Nana Vic image you get a $12 prize instead of $10 - so what are you waiting for!

For my card I have combined two images, the beautiful lattice and rose border and Nana Vic writing:

I layered the frame up with some shades of pink and used an alphabet paper from Papermania for the background, apart from that I added some bling to the corners that have been cut with a Martha Stewart punch and as ever I coloured the images with Promarkers!

I have to say these frames are fabulous and I can see a million and one uses for them combined with other images they are fantastic! They would be good to frame a digital photo as well - let your imagination run wild!!

I hope you will join in the Nana Vic Challenge over at Lady Annes (click the page above to go there) come on over and see the wonderful inspiration from the DT and join in the fun!

Hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate your visit and hope to see you again soon!

Better Late than Never.....

Hello everyone, the new challenges have started over at Lady Annes and I am running sooo late! I had family here for Easter so nothing got done and I am now playing catch up on top of that a cup of tea mysteriously got knocked over and ruined all the cards I had ready to photograph - yikes! There was some frantic colouring going on in our house I can tell you!!

On to the challenges:

Firstly we have the Stamp challenge and this month we are sponsored by Stamp and Doodle and my card features one of their new images:

Now isn't this every little girl? I can remember getting one or two whoopings for messing in my mum's wardrobe!
I used some digital paper from Nit Wits and some pink mulberry paper, some pink border that I have had for ever and I think it was from Lakeland when they did craft stuff! The big heart is actually a mirror but doesn't show up in the photo, I added a few sparkly flowers and some metallic letters (the flowers and letters are all the same colour of cerise). I coloured the image with Promarkers

I really hope you will pop over and join in this challenge, it is anything goes as long as you use a stamped or digi image so come on over and join in the fun, the challenge now runs from the first of the month to the last of the month so its easy to keep track - see you there!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you again soon!
