Anything But Square!

This is the theme for the latest challenge over at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge. We have some fabulous sponsors again and I have used an image from one of our sponsors Kenny K!

As our theme this week is anything but square I made a DL card. I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the image and inked the edges with a citrus yellow. I used some yellow check paper for the background with some pink with yellow dots through the middle. I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment onto this. The flowers are from Papermania and are white ready to colour to match your project so I coloured them with some yellow and added some green gems for the centres. I inked some white organza ribbon to match and added a nice big gem to the centre.
The image is coloured with Promarkers.

Thanks for popping by and I hope we see you over at Penny's to join in with this challenge!

I hope to see you again soon!

Make it Fruity!

Tuesday again and this weeks inspirational picture and twist were chosen by Guylou:

Couldn't you just drink that sitting in the sun, I wish! In Northern England we have snow bitter cold winds and it feel like Siberia!!

I did struggle with this one - I could not think of anything fruity that would go with the colours. Then after a search through my digi's I came across this one from Mayzy's Art.

I think she's supposed to be a lemonade girl but I made her into a limeade girlie - I prefer limeade in any case!
For my background I used some paper from my stash that I think is from Papermania. I cut the image out using a Spellbinders label die and cut the brue background out using a larger size die. I added some lime spotted grosgrain ribbon and a couple of cute heart buttons.

I coloured my image with Promarkers and used some glossy accent on the glass and jug.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will come over to the Outlawz and join in our challenge this week or join in one of the other challenges there's always something going on!

See you again soon!

April Fool..............

The new challenge has started at Eclectic Ellapu and this week's host is Berni.

Berni wants you to make her laugh! Simple!!!

For my card I used an image from Bugaboo, Friends Wine.

I made a DL card for this one, I size I rarely use these days - I cut the base card from some white card and used some pale grey and burgundy patterned paper for the backgroundm,, edged with lace. I cut the image out using a Spellbinders label die and edged it with some bling on a sting I also used some to go through the centre. The image was coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment was computer generated then edged with pearls.

Hope you like my card and I also hope you will jump over to Eclectic Ellapu and join in the fun! You have to see what the other DT have made - just awesome; see you there!

A Moppet Story.....

Heather Valentin, the artist who created Lacy Sunshine, started a new collection of digi's called moppets that are the most melancholy sweeties you can find!

The one I have used today is called Millicent and I think she is adorable! She seems to merge Victorian urchin with goth street kid and is unique!

The Lacy Sunshine Challenge this week is lots of layers so I have layered my little moppet up in lots of burgundy and browns. My base card is Kraft card I have then added some burgundy card topped with some beige and burgundy paper that I got in a collection from Costco. I trimmed this up with some antique lace. I have used a Spellbinders label die to cut her out and the larger die to cut out the various layers that she is on with some added ribbons. I used some burgundy glitter card to cut the Moroccan motifs.

I coloured her up with Promarkers and used some Prisma pencils to add accents.

I hope you like my little moppet and I hope you will pop over to Lacy Sunshine and check out the fabulous digi's that are available!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

I would like to enter this into the following challenge:

Hello everyone, it's the 3rd Christmas Progressive Challenge over at Lady Annes and this month we have some really cute images from Anji's Antics

This is my first card:

The photo is a bit dark but I have used dark colours on this one, I coloured my moose using Promarkers and a little glossy accent on his lights, the background paper is from Papermania.

For my second card I used a card blank with an embossed snowflake on that I picked out with some ice blue shaggy glitter
once again coloured with Promarkers.

These are such cute images that will become favourites I can see!

Add Gingham

For my card I have used a gorgeous image from Sassy Design Studio, I so love these images!

I coloured the image with Promarkers and cut her out with a leaf shaped die cut. For my background I have used a whole variety of different ginghams or checks, most are from Nit Wits Collections, the central blue is a piece of gingham glitter card. I edged my die cut with pearls and added a ticket sentiment stamped and heat embossed onto another piece of gingham!

Hope you like today's card and I would love to see you over at Penny's for this week's challenge!

Fairies at theBottom of the Garden.....

Hello crafty friends, I don't know about you but when I was little my Mum always insisted that there were fairies at the bottom of the garden! She always said if you truly believed you would see them and I tried and I tried and I tried but no fairy every showed itself to me....

For this week's challenge over at Penny's Paper Crafty I was given a delightful image from Floppy Latte to make my card with.

I painted this lovely image with H20's and used a variety of irrediscent colours for the wings - which you can just see in the photo. I used a Spellbinders die to cut the glitter die cut  on the left of the fairy and a Spellbinders edge die for the pearlised lace edging on the right. The butterfly is cut from a Marianne die and I have added some gems for the body. Ribbons and braid all from Poundland!!

Now I really want fairies like this at the bottom of my garden, don't you?

I really hope we will see you over at Penny's for this week's challenge which is to use ribbon and die cuts - easy, peasy!!
See you there!!!

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate your visit and hope to see you again soon!

Too Wit Too Woo!

Hello lovely crafters, I'm feeling very sorry for myself as I'm not well and miserable, lol!! Woe is me!
It's Tuesday again and that can only mean one thing - The Color Challenge at the Outlawz!

This week's colours and twist were chosen by Roxann

She always picks such lush colours! This month's sponsor is 2Cute Ink and for my card I have used one of their sweet images

Now that is one cute little owl that just makes you smile! I coloured and cut out  the image using a Nellie Snelsen die set and cut the brown and gold layers from the same set. I found a cute little stamp in my stash that was perfect got the image and stamped and heat embossed using Ultra Chocolate embossing powder. The flourishes were cut from some luscious chocolate glitter card and I added a bit of bling.

This was a very simple easy card to make and I think it turned out quite effective!

I hope we see you over at the Outlawz for this week's colour challenge and I can't wait to see what you will make!

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate your visit and hope to see you again soon!

Circus, Circus!

Today I have another Lacy Sunshine card! I thought I would make a card for they're challenge blog and this challenge is double trouble! I started off a bit stumped and thought I would have to buy another image to get my double trouble but with a bit of thought and computer jiggery pokery, this is what I came up with -

I coloured my little hobo clowns up with Promarkers, for my background I collaged some of Raspberry Roads Big Top collection which are shabby and vintage looking. I made the bunting from another Raspberry Road collection that has been retired called Clovis the Clown.

and that is my double trouble. I hope you enjoyed today's card and I'm off now to enter into the challenge! If you want the little Hobo Clown you can find him here.
If you want to enter the fun challenge its

New Moppets from Lacy Sunshine!

This little lady is called Adelaide and she is the first of a new series of darling little moppets from Heather Valentin, the brilliant artist who is Lacy Sunshine!

I was lucky enough to win this one before Heather put them into her shop! How lucky am I!!

I coloured her up last night and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it - what a lovely little girlie to colour. She is coloured with Promarkers and I cut her out using a Spellbinders label die. I inked the edge with Evergreen ink from Versamark. The lacey edges are also cut from a Spellbinders die. The little sentiment came about when DH looked at her and said with those sad eyes she should have a sign saying I'm lost but I thought Missing You was better (and I had a stamp!!). I edged the sentiment in some lilac pearls from Mei Flower.

I thought you may like a close up of this sweet little girl!

Well that's my latest Lacy Sunshine card - I think I'm addicted these moppets are just so adorable I have to have more! And if you want one of your very own you can find them here!

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate your visit and I hope you'll call back soon!

Cheers!

It's a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty and this weeks challenge is to use stitching, real or faux.

I have used an image from QKR who is one of our sponsors this week - I think he's so cute!

I coloured the cute image with Promarkers and 'stitched' him to some lime green card and then some creamy primrose cut with a scalloped oval. I found some olive green check paper in my stash and added some dark green organza ribbon layered with some olive satin ribbon. I added two cabochon green gems and the hand written sentiment that is embossed with some green embossing powder.
All mounted on a dark green base card.
I hope you like my little froggie friend I can see him being very useful!

Don't forget to join us over at Penny's for this challenge, there's three sponsors this week and some great prizes!

Vintage Tuesday

Hello, it's Tuesday again...has it really been a week? Well Tuesday can mean only one thing - the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz!

This week's inspirational picture was chosen by Penny, isn't it gorgeous!

Now Penny's twist is to make it vintage and my mind went blank!

After much thought this is what I came up with:

.

The image is from Floppy Latte and you can find it here, I think its stunning! I printed it out onto white and then inked the edges with some grey ink to give it an old look. I used some black card that has a leather type effect, I sanded all the edges to distress them and sanded the sheen off it, the die cuts are all from the Moroccan Spellbinders set and I cut them in some light brown then distressed the edges.

I think it looks sort of old, lol!Well I hope you like my attempt at vintage and I also hope you will come over to the Outlawz and join in the fun! See you there!!

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate you taking the time and hope to see you again soon!

What do you do when...........

Last week I lost a very dear friend. It was sudden and unexpected and he wasn't old (63).

I am not good at sympathy cards, I can usually put one together for someone who has lost someone that I didn't know or weren't close to. To make a card for the wife (who is also a dear friend) of this friend just left me blank. I wanted something that wasn't just 'with sympathy', I did put out a plea for help on the Lacy Sunshine Facebook page and the lovely ladies there pointed me in the right direction!

Now on Friday I got Annettes candy (wonderful!!) and one of the stamps was the most impressive tulip stamp I have ever seen and an idea started to come to me! By yesterday I know what I would make and this is it

I printed this beautiful verse by Mary Frye onto a sheet of Centura Pearl, snow white which has that beautiful gold shimmer. I then over stamped it with the tulip stamp using a lovely sea green ink (that was also part of Annettes Candy) and sprinkled some transparent crystal embossing powder over it and heat embossed the image.

As a sympathy card I think it does and says what it should and on the inside I put our personal message to his family.

I just wanted to share this one with you as it was really the result of getting the fabulous candy on Friday so I have to say again - a big thank you Annette!

Thanks for stopping by I hope you'll call back soon!

Sunshine Sunday!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I have another Lacy Sunshine image to show you. I do think she's lovely and could be used for all sorts of occasions!

I coloured her using Promarkers them cut her out using a scalloped rectangular die. I also cut out two more scalloped rectangles from some patterned paper, I then inked the edges of all three. The background paper is from my stash and is a Papermania pad from years ago. I added some spotted ribbon some Memory Box die cuts in pearl aqua paper, some Papermania flowers inked to match and some organza ribbon also inked to match. Add a sprinking of bling and there she is!

 Now isn't she just gorgeous?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Annettes Candy!

Hello crafty people, I thought I'd share my excitement with you!

Annette had candy and now it's mine! It arrived today and what a lovely surprise to come home from work on a Friday to lots of goodies!!

Now how gorgeous is all this - some beautiful stamps, fab inks, beautiful brads
and ribbon, a gelly roller and some Copics! WOW!!! I've never used Copics so I've been practicing this evening and I like them, different to Promarkers or Spectrums; I can't wait to play.

I hope to be back with a card over the weekend, see you soon!

Nana Vic's Challenge

Hello everyone it's time for a new challenge from Nana Vic over at Lady Annes. We are changing the times for the challenges to make it easier to remember when they start and finish so Nana Vic's challenge will now start on the 1st of the month and end on the last day of the month - even I can remember that!!

For my card I have used a combination of images. I have used the sweet little girl in her little truck the lattice border and a lovely word art that matched the image so well. I have used png images for all of them and I think they go together so well.

I coloured the image using Promarkers and it just had to be pink!I've added some lace and ribbon then finished it off with some pretty flowers and a die cut butterfly.

I really hope you will join us in this challenge over at Lady Annes and don't forget you will win a bigger prize if you use a Nana Vic image - if you've not seen them you can find them here!

Hope to see you over at Lady Annes and I can't wait to see what you create!
