Roll Up, Roll Up, Blog Hop Scrappers Delight!!

This will be the last blog hop at least for a while from Scrappers Delight so don't miss it! There's a digi or two hidden along the way - so what are you waiting for!

For my card I have used the lovely Batwoman from this month's new releases, I think she is fantabulous and has a slightly sinister mystery to her, perfect for Halloween!

I coloured her with a mix of Promarkers and Flexmarkers (my latest passion). I drew around her outline in the moon with a clear star gelli roller and added a little gloss to her eyes. She has been cut out and mounted onto some black card the matted onto the black and white card onto a base card of black. I've added some black glittery corners and flourishes a little greeting and some nice grey rhinestones - I think she's gorgeous!

So now get hopping and don't forget to leave a comment on each blog for your chance to win some of these lovelies!

Another Lovely from Scrappers Delight!

I have another of  the new releases to share with you today - this is the lovely Lady Jane

I have used an 8 x 8 card as the base and I printed out Lady Jane twice, one flipped. I then coloured them using Promarkers. I added some beautiful paper from Trimcraft to my base card then my Lady Janes. I made some tissue paper flowers to match their gowns and added the sentiment that comes with Lady Jane, again coloured with Promarkers. She's such a doll I didn't think she needed anything else!

I hope you will check out these lovely new release - you will find them here.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

What a Cutie!

This week's challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty is to make a waterfall or easel card.

You would not want to see my attempts at a waterfall card, really not good, in fact, really awful! So easel card it is!

I have used an image from one of our sponsors, Little Miss Muppet, and she is such a cutie!!

I used a template that I downloaded for the easel card then covered with some pretty pink paper. I added a nice pink doily, some flourishes cut from glitter card and some gems. I made a very small flower shape the same as the easel card for my base stop. The little cutie is coloured with Promarkers, she is just so sweet!

I hope you will join us at Penny's for this challenge, get your thinking caps on and show us your waterfall cards or if you're like me - your easel cards!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

A Little Saying!

Tuesday again and a new Color Challenge at the Outlawz. This week's picture and twist have been chosen by Penny

aren't they just gorgeous colours and the twist is to add distressing, so you can all get your creative juices flowing!

For my card I have used an image from Nana Vic. I've been dying to use this image but just couldn't get the right sentiment for it, then - bingo! We were walking around Ludlow on Bank Holiday Monday and I spotted a sign that said 'Life is not about sheltering from the storm, It's about learning to dance in the rain!' and I thought yes, perfect and made DH repeat it until we got back to the car and I could write it down, lol!

So here's my card:

So I used some lush blue handmade paper as a base, the paisley pattern is embossed onto it, great texture. I then added some mulberry paper that I found on a stall in Stratford upon Avon, it was cream but I inked and distressed it. I added the image from Nana Vic, coloured with Promarkers then added the computer generated sentiment!

I hope you will all come over to the Outlawz and join us in this challenge, gorgeous colours and great twist! Hope to see you there!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

About a Boy.....

Wasn't there a TV show called that?

The new challenge at Eclectic Ellapu has started and its the pink team this week - our theme was chosen by the lovely Sheena and, you guessed it, its - About a Boy.

For my card I used an image that came in a set that Jak Heath set up in aid of a friend of hers in the US who had cancer, her name was Katie and she was an inspiration to us all. This is the first time I have used this image and it is so typically about a boy I couldn't think of anything else to use!

I coloured the image with Promarkers. The background paper was a freebie download and is so great for this image. I also added some blue satin ribbon, some buttons and a cute starfish charm!

I hope you will come over to Eclectic Ellapu and join us in this challenge, I'd love to see what you come up with!!

I hope you're all getting ready for the fun starting at Eclectic Ellapu on 1st October, put it in your diary, not to be missed!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Christmas Progressive Challenge

Hello everyone this month's Christmas Progressive Challenge has started at Lady Annes.

This month our lovely sponsor is DS4J who have provided the lovely images and are going to give one lucky person a prize of 5 digi's at the end of the challenge, woohoo!

So this is what I came up with for this month:

I coloured this little chap with Promarkers in purple and green (it looks blue in the photo!) and the letters in red. I added some glossy accent to the letters and his bell. I found the lovely paper in my stash and it's ideal for this little chap with strings of bells!
This is such a cute image - I can see him being used a lot this year!

This image is great - I love the simplicity of it the way the Merry Christmas has been shaped into a candy can shape. Again coloured with Promarkers, the holly leaves are actually cut from green mirri board but it doesn't show up well in the picture and I added some red pearls for the berries. Another image that will be well used!
I made the mistake several years ago of giving DH some of my cards for his close colleagues at work the next year he got cards from half of the works so I had to make about thirty just for him and it has been the same each year since! Then I have my own works who know I make cards so expect a handmade one! So over both works and our friends I have to make well over a hundred each year and that's not including the family ones, lol!
That is why I love images like these that are cute and quick to colour and so easy to make into a card that someone will really appreciate!
If you are not in our challenge you still have the option to buy in and join us - so what are you waiting for!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Come and Check Out These Beauties!

We have some new releases at Scrappers Delight coming to the store tomorrow and boy are they some beauties! Lucky me got to play with one too!!

This lovely is the Vampire Witch and she comes with a few options
I really, really enjoyed colouring her and this is how she turned out:
I decided she needed a haunted house and had to really search to find one! I used some cute bat paper for my background that came from Free Craft Downloads - they have loads of free papers, definitely worth a look!
My Vampire Witch was coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir markers as I needed different ranges of grey so they didn't all blend together.
I used a little glossy accent on the windows of the house to try and bring them to life, I finished off with some voile ribbon coloured black and some nice black gems and, of course, the fabulous sentiment that came with the digi!

I think she makes a wonderful halloween card!

So check out the shop and see what bargains you can find - there's loads! Don't forget tomorrow to check out all the new releases they're fabulous!! If you want to see some more wonderful images using the new releases check out the Scrappers Delight blog and see what the rest of the design team have come up with!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Meet My Cute Little Friend!

We have a new challenge started at Penny's and this week we are being sponsored by Stampart Design, Sassy Studio Design and Di's Digi Downloads and the challenge is pretty simple -

Use Two Patterned Papers
Now for my card I got to use one of the lovely digis from Stampart Design, a lovely character called ELPHIE THE ELEPHANT  I'm in love - he is sooooooo cute and here he is

I used some cute papers from Trimcraft for the background from one of the Fizzy Moon sets, they are such lovely papers, the balloons are just a little sparkly and have great dimension. My oh so cute little friend is coloured with Promarkers. I also used some Memory Box dies for the finishes and a nice little sentiment that has been stamped and embossed. You could use this little chap for so many cards - Baby cards, Birthday cards, Hello cards, Thank you cards to name but a few - who wouldn't love to get a card featuring Elphie!
So I have to say thank you to Kathryne the artist from Stampart Design for drawing such an adorable little creature and I hope you will all head over to her shop and check out the lovely images there!

I hope you'll join us at Penny's this week for our challenge - I'll see you there!

THanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

What Happened to Summer?

You know you look round and the weathers changed! It became autumn here so quickly I couldn't believe it - now it's just memories of hot sunny days!
Still never mind there's always a silver lining; now the weather's cooled down I will get more crafting done!

So it's Tuesday again and it's the start of a new Color Challenge at the Outlawz.

This week's colour palette was chosen by Lindsay with a wonderful twist!

Now isn't that the coolest picture!

We still have our wonderful sponsor, Stamp n Doodle and for my card I have used another of their fabulous images:

I have to say I love this image! It is so versatile you have to see what the others on the DT have done with it - it has become one of those must have images!

I used some nice glossy white card as my base and matted the sheep onto some black card, the digi takes so little colouring and I used my Promarkers to do that. The sentiment was computer generated then coloured to match.

Such a simple card but quite effective - you really have to check out the images at Stamp n Doodle!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Penny's

New challenge over at Penny's and this week it's everyone's favourite - ANYTHING GOES!

For my card this week I have used an image from our sponsor Robyns Fetish

Such a cute image for any little boy that's into baseball! Being a Brit baseball isn't a game that's played much here but I know our kids love their ball games and if he was holding a cricket bat he would be a kid from over this side of the pond!

I used a different colour scheme than the norm and wnt for lilac and yellow. I added some buttons and stamped the sentiment.

I hope you will call over to Penny's this week and join us!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will call again soon!

A Manly Card!

Tuesday again! A new Color Challenge has started over at the Outlawz and this weeks inspirational picture was chosen by Ina:

Ina would like you to make a masculine project!

We are being sponsored by Stamp n Doodle this month and they gave us some of their amazing digis to play with so for this challenge I have used this amazing image:

I tried not to over colour it for this project but I have used it since and it looks amazing when you fully colour it! I used some powder blue linen coated card (it looks bright blue in this but it is actually much paler) Some cork paper and some wine red too mat the digi and I added some wine red brads (they look brown, lol) My photography skills were not good when I took this picture!

If you would like this digi you can find it here, or just check out the amazing work over at Stamp n Doodle!

So call over to the Outlawz and join in the fun - you stand a chance of winning some digis!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

A Little Hippy Chick!

A quick post from me today, I've made this card specifically to enter the DT call at the Paper Shelter. I so love their images and would be in heaven playing with them all the time, but I am a realist and don't think I am up to their standard but I thought I'd give it a try!

For my card I have used the Hippy girl from TPS, she so reminds me of me many years ago, I teamed her up with Emma's Camper from Polka Doodle, every good hippy had a VW Camper covered in flowers, lol!

I used some paper from my stash that I think was a freebie from a mag, I added a peace emblem and some letters made from Fimo and glittered up with some aqua glitter.

I coloured her with Promarkers, I think she is just so cute!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

I will be entering this into:

Wednesday!

It's the middle of the week and most of you working people will be on the downside of the working week and getting ready for the week end! Firstly, we have a new challenge at Penny's and this week we ould like you to use
Your spooled items (ribbon, lace, twine, etc)
We have two great sponsors for you this week - Bugaboo and Digi My World so get your entries in and you could win some wonderful digis!

For my card I have used an image from Digi My World from the Rock a Bye set, the sentiment comes with it too

I decided to colour the whole thing in shades of pink - I think it would look good in blue as well, I cut the sentiment out with a scalloped die cut and then coloured and inked to match. I found the lovely lace in a bargain bin in a haberdashery store in Cheltenham, the ribbon is from the ribbons that they stitch into t shirts and tops to hang them up, I always cut them out and they are great for threading through lace!

I hope you will call over to Penny's Paper Crafty and join in this fun challenge, I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Tommy Turtle

There is a new freebie challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs and this month the cute, cute freebie is Tommy Turtle!

Now how absolutely adorably cute is this! I coloured him with Promarkers and used some bright blue card for matting and some cute glittery paper for the background which is from one of the Fizzy Moon sets from Trimcrafts, apart from that I just added a flower! This is one to make you smile, it makes me smile each time I see it!
So if you would like this cutie hope over to Gerda's challenge and join in I'm sure she would love to have you there!
Woohoo, last month I won and got three gorgeous digis that I will be playing with very soon.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Altered Eclectics Latest Challenge!

Hi there, I'm very late with this post!

The new challenge has started at Altered Eclectics and there are some wonderful projects to inspire you!
My project has a little story - I forgot my daughter in laws Mum's birthday, she was 75. I have never missed her birthday and she has always looked forward to receiving my card so when I found out I was mortified and decided it was a bit of a poor do to just send her a card! She likes pretty things and appreciates anything delicate so I set about making her a photo frame - this is what I made:

I used a basic frame from Tesco as my base and covered it with some embossed white gaffer tape which I then painted with some mother of pearl paint. I die cut the corners, flowers and butterflies and then covered them with glue and glitter. The tiny flowers and butterflies were punched out then given the same treatment.
I continued the tiny flowers and butterflies down the sides to give it a pretty finish. When I use glitter like that I always give it a good dose of clear glaze to set it. I finished off the flowers and butterflies with pearls in various colours and added some pretty paper inside, hey voila all done!
Now I did send her a card as well and shee loved them both but I believe the frame now has a nice picture of her little dog in - and she has hinted that she could do with another!
I hope you like my frame and I'd love to see you over at Altered Eclectics for the latest challenge - so what are you waiting for!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!
