Merry Christmas!
Hope everyone is having a fabulous day with plenty of magic!
It's the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz so if the festivities get too much for you drop into your favourite challenge site and join us!
This week's inspirational picture was chosen by Margaret, aren't these colours just so sophisticated and scrummy!
Such a simple twist for Christmas as well!
Well here's what I came up with:
I embossed the Christmas tree onto some oval black card with silver embossing powder and added a scalloped frame in silver. I slotted some silver ribbon through the card and added some lovely black bling, a Memory box corner flourish and some extra bling and there it is - so as the card says have a Wonderful Christmas and thank you for supporting my blog this year I have really appreciated your visits and hope they will continue!

Are You Ready?
Well I most certainly am not! I have a chest infection that is hanging on in there and as I've been out of action for a few days it has put me behind about three weeks, yikes I'm going to be busy!!!
For the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz this week we have a very bright happy colour pick from Teresa
What a magnificent bird, the Hyacinth Macaw absolutely stunning; I remember a friend buying one many years ago, it took forever to locate one and get the Cites paperwork for it and the cost, wow you could buy a house for what that fella cost! But the most beautiful parrot I have ever seen - I digress, so no wonder Teresa's twist was to add wings.
As it's Christmas card season in my house I set about to make a Christmas card with these colours. I used our sponsors image; isn't it cute!
The background is made up of some gloss blue card and some paper from my stash that just happened to fit the bill perfectly. I stamped and embossed with a marquasite embossing powder the sentiment and cut the letters out with a circle punch. Snowflakes are some table glitter (you get hundreds in a packet). I thought it looked quite cute in these colours and was just about to photograph it to post and remembered the twist! Some serious head scratching took place I can tell you, then I remembered some Clarity stamps that I have and there was my little robin, I think he looks right at home there don't you? The Santa sleigh stamp is from the same set, sweet!
Well that's my offering this week and I do hope we will get to see your project, if you're not a member of the Outlawz why not come over and check us out and join us, its free and fun! If you are a member - what are you waiting for!
Thanks for stopping by I do appreciate you taking the time and I really hope to see you over at the Color Challenge this week!

The Christmas Challenge for Eclectic Ellapu!
Hello everyone! We weren't supposed to have a challenge over Christmas but Elaine (Ellapu) had a brainwave and decided we would have a combined challenge with both teams submitting projects if they wanted.
Well just at the time that this was decided I had been playing!
Elaine has this wonderful technique using duct tape that ends up looking like metal (details are on her blog here!) I checked out the amazing projects that she has made and started thinking about what I could make. I remembered some cigar boxes that I liberated from a friend years ago and raked them out of hiding. So I had a box and a technique, I just needed an idea! The idea formulated on a visit to Bury Market where I found some bling on a string on one of the haberdashery stalls!
I used a brocade embossing folder on the duct tape, the centre is a Spellbinders die cut form marquasite glitter card, the flower lace was white and I painted it black, the box has been painted with some pewter paint. I found a chipboard letter and painted that with pewter paint and then blinged it up! The black gems are from Docraft.
I used the bling on a string to finish all around the box as well as the lid, the handle is made from some beads.
I then lined it with some lovely pewter handmade paper and that was my first box!
Second box is slightly different.
On this one I have used my friends initials, I covered some chipboard letters with marquasite glitter then sprayed with clear vanish to set. I used a different lace that I painted black again and I also used some different bling through the centre of the top. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and are foundation flowers that have just been streaked with some black paint.
The inside has been finished with some stitched black paper and the edges are finished with the same bling that looks rather like rivets.
Well thats my boxes - I have made a couple of different ones that I will post sometime.
The teams have really put on some stunning projects that have so much Wow factor you really have to go see them!
I hope you will find time over the Christmas period to pay us a visit and hopefully join in - I look forward to seeing you over at Eclectic Ellapu!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by I do really appreciate it!

New Challenge from Nana Vic!
Well this is the second post of the day for me!
Nana Vic has started a new challenge over at Lady Annes Challenges and I have the honoour to be on the Design Team, Woo! Hoo!
The first challenge started today and will run for a month and lucky us got to play with one of Nana Vic's new digi's!
I used a gloss grey spotted card and layered it with some delish pansy paper that I found in my stash. The lovely digi I coloured with Promarkers and popped it up with a few dots of stickles. This bicycle reminds me of one I had many years ago that was old and reliable with a basket on the front!
The sentiment is from Nana Vic as well and so apt for this image!
I do hope you will call in and check out the fabulous work from the other DT members and please join us in the challenge, it's lovely to see Nana Vic back in blogland with her wonderful digi's - don't forget to check out her shop for all the beautiful digi's she has!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join us over at Lady Annes for this wonderful new challenge - see you there!

Two Weeks to Go.................
Yay, its Tuesday and that means its the Colour Challenge over at the Outlawz - Tuesday after next it's the Big Day and I am so not ready!
This week's inspirational picture was chosen by Roxann -
and the twist is very appropriate for all of us at this time of year - Add Glitter!
Oh my goodness - how much glitter have I used this last month or so! I eat it, sleep with it even shower with it! Well onto my card for this challenge:
I used some Centura Pearl for my base card and stamped it up using a peg stamp from Rubber Stamp Tapestry using Memento rich cocoa ink. My Christmas tree is made from a Sheena Douglass paint fusion stamp. I stamped up the layers and coloured with Promarkers and then added some lime glitter to all the edges. The lime green spotted paper is from a Nit Wits Collection, Time for Tea. I added some iron grey satin ribbon and stamped and heat embossed the greeting with some chocolate embossing powder. The little cones are I believe from a Yew bush that I collected a couple of years ago, dried them out and sprayed them silver (I think I was using them for something at the time and these were a few leftovers, lol).
Well that's it - I hope you like it; now why not pop over to the Outlawz and check out what the other girls have made, there are some fab cards for your inspiration and I hope you will join us!
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time and I hope to see you again soon!

A Different Christmas Card
Hello everyone, it's time for challenge #9 over at Eclectic Ellapu and this week's host is Sheena from the pink team.
Sheena's challenge is - Jolly and Bright!
Now that can be interpreted in many ways! As it's that time of year my first thought was Christmas and I love cheery and bright!
This is what I came up with
I used a digi from Darcy's Diaries which is not really a Christmas image but I do think she makes a lovely Christmas angel! I coloured her with Promarkers then glittered the stars, and layered it up on some pink card then some metallic blue card. The background paper I discovered in my stash and was so pleased but I don't know where they're from! The silver ribbon is from Costco and the snowflakes are from a Christmas garland that I cut up and have been using the snowflakes ever since!
The sentiment is from Docraft and has been heat embossed with some lovely glitzy embossing powder that I got from the US.
This shows the glitter slightly more and what a cutie Christmas angel she is!
I do hope you find time to call over to the challenge and join us this week for this great theme and I will look forward to seeing you all there!
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate your time and I hope to see you again soon!

Jingle Bells!
Oh my, another week closer and still not got much done!
Well as it's Tuesday it has to be the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz and this weeks colours were chosen by............Me!
I picked these colours as they are very traditional and I always that red and gold go beautifully together and the touch of white can make all the difference!
So on to my card for this challenge:
I covered my card with some wide twill ribbon with white Christmas trees on. Then added the gold embsooed Noel, I used one of this month's sponsors images coloured with Promarkers - he's so cute isn't he and to add the twist I added a jingle bell to his hat and another to the centre of the O.
I hope you'll find time to pop over to the Outlawz and join in our challenge!

Warm Wishes
Happy Saturday! Yey it's the weekend and time off to relax (if only!).....
I thought I'd share a card with you that I made for my Grandaughter, she loves penguins and who couldn't just love this image.
The image is a cute digi from Funky Kits and isn't it just adorable. I coloured the image with Promarkers and some Prisma pencils and used Flowersoft for the fur trim. The snowflakes are cut with a Marianne die set, the bling is from my stash and the paper is from Docraft (I think!).

Four Weeks to Go!
OMG it's Tuesday again and I just realised its only four weeks before the big day! I am so not organised this year thanks goodness its just the two of us so I don't have to get totally stressed and we can just have a quiet day.
This week's Color Challenge over at the Outlawz is up and I hope we are going to see all you gorgeous people over there. The inspirational picture and twist were chosen by Guylou this week and how fabulous are they!
I have to admit I fell in love with the colours and didn't take on board the twist - so my first card had to be scrapped and repalced with this one:
As you can see I made an easel card using the fabulous Forest Fern image from our sponsor, Delicious Doodles. I used a pearlised cerise card as my base card which I layered up with some grey and buff. I has some lovely antique cream lace in my stash along with the cerise voile ribbon and pearl grey satin ribbon. The silver butterfly is from Mei Flower and I do think they are so lovely! I coloured my image with Promarkers.
I hope you have time to join us at the Outlawz for our latest challenge and while you're there check out the other challenges - there's always something going on over there!!
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you time and would love to see you back here again soon!

This time of year has so celebrations and festivals that we are all busy preparing for so it will be one more card ready for your celebration!

I hope to see you over at Eclectic Ellapu - break out the glitter and glitz and come and join us!
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time!

Christmas Wreath
It's the Color Challenge at the Outlawz again and today's scrummy colours were chosen by Ursula
The twist is add fabric - and here's what I came up with -
I went to Hobbycraft last month and found this lovely block of vintage Christmas papers from Docrafts and the colours matched perfectly to this challenge. I also had a video tutorial bookmarked that was shown on Meiflowers blog for the beautiful ribbon wreath so this was definitely the time to try it out! A very simple card but quite effective!

Christmas Glitter
This is a card I made using a Sheena Douglass paint fusion stamp. Rather than using it for paint fusion I coloured it with Promarkers and glittered it up with some glass glitter
Base card is Centura Pearls white. I used some gold mirri card which I embossed with a Darice Swiss Dots embossing folder and cut to size, rounding ther corners using a Tonic corner punch. I layered it onto some black card. The poinsettia is built up of layers of leaves and finished off with a centre that I have used some puff paint that has irrediscent beads added. The sentiment is from another stamp set from the Stampman.
I hope you like my card today and I would like to enter it into the following challenges:

The new stamp challenge is up at Lady Annes Papercrafts and as always it is anything goes! Our sponsor this month in A Day for Daisies and she does have some beautiful digi stamps!
For my card I used the wonderful image Pearls in her Hair,

I layered it onto some simple oatmeal paper then added some teal ribbon , some pearl border and lots of pearls. The sentiment is from the Stampman and has been heat embossed using some teal embossing powder.
I hope you like my card and please call by Lady Annes and see the other DT's wonderful creations and, of course, join in the fun!

Give Thanks!
It's the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz and this weeks colours were chosen by Margaret
The twist is to make it Thanksgiving or Thank You.
For my card I used an image from our sponsor this month, Delicious Doodles, such a beautiful image!
I coloured her with Promarkers and cut her out with an oval die cut and framed it with a scalloped die cut. I managed to find some papers in my stash that I've had for years in these beautiful colours and finished it off with a little Thanks stamp that I have had forever!
I hope you will find time to drop by the challenge over at the Outlawz and see the wonderful projects the design team have for your delectation!

Ice Queen
Well I have been a busy little soul today! I had a birthday card to make, check, a DT card to make, check and then I decided to finish this card as a nother addition to my Christmas collection - that is growing but not quickly enough!
The image is from Phee McFadden and is just stunning, I started by colouring her with Promarkers - I then set loose with the glitter! I have used 3 shades of blue glitter, 2 irredescent glitters, a silver glitter and some shaggy turquoise glitter.
I cut a frame from some very glitzy silver paper and cut various snowflakes from, white glitter card, silver glitter card and blue glitter card and in case there weren't enough snowflakes I added some white and holographic silver snowflakes from some table confetti!
The background paper is from Humphreys Corner and the various bling are mostly from Mei Flower.
I hope you like my Christmas card and thanks for stopping by, I do really appreciate that you take the time!

Pink and Cream
The new challenge is live at Eclectic Ellapu and the theme this week was chosen by Berni from the Pink Team and it is,,,ta da........................
Pink and Cream!
I decided to make a circular easel card, having seen a couple and thinking how nice they look and I do have to say easier said than done!
I used a plain pink as the base card and covered them with some pretty pink and cream papers that I found in my stash. I used a Cheery Lynn die for the cream doily and then mounted my image, coloured with Promarkers. I added few flowers and lots of bling plus a pretty pink greeting and here it is.
I hope you like it and I do hope you will call over to Eclectic Ellapu and see the amazing work from the Design Team and I hope you will be inspired to join us this week - see you there!
Thanks for stopping by I do appreciate it and love to ready your comments, see you soon!

Make it Vintage!
The Color Challenge is up again at the Outlawz and this weeks inspirational picture was chosen by Teresa
now this picture is a little out of the ordinary as its a picture of Teresa's father and it started off as an old black and white image until Guylou waved her magic wand and voila - we have colour! Teresa originally used this wonderful photo as it will be Rememberance Day this week and what a very appropriate image for this week!
The twist is' Make it Vintage' - I think everyone has their own interpretation of what is vintage. To me vintage reminds me of days gone by, with maybe a little longing! With such earthy colours I did feel that a Rememberance card would be the order of the day and this is what I came up with
I have a wonderful collection of grungy/vintage papers that I got from Costco a couple of years ago, its beautiful paper, really good quality but there are hundreds of sheets and I'm sure I'll still be using them ten years from now! I chose a lovely page with birds on that is just the right colour, I then stamped and heat embossed it with a beautiful stamp of a wildflower that I stamped at different height. I then layered it up with more of the scrummy papers from the set and printed the sentiment and mounted it on some brown card, I popped it up with some foam pads to add some dimension.
Well that is my interpretation of vintage using this weeks colours, I hope you like it!

Time for Tea!
The latest CDAC Progressive Freebie challenge is a wonderful teapot with a matching cup from Priscilla Styles!
I played with this image for ages before I decided what I was going to do with it and I finally came up with this:
I coloured the images with Promarkers and then carefully cut them out, I used a little gold Promarker to give the gold edgings. I found some lovely pink papers in my stash that matched the roses and cut a Cheery Lynn doily in green to match. The papers are seperated by some green satin ribbon. I used some foam butterflies that I got in a bundle from the Pound shop and used some shaggy pink glitter to top them with and a cute flower button. The sentiment is from Priscilla as well which I printed onto some of the plain pink and cut out with a small oval scalloped die then added the green pearls to each scallop.
I do think they're very useful images and can be used individually or together in a multitude of projects.
Please pop over to CDAC and see all the wonderful creations by these very talented people!
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your time and love to read any comments you leave, see you again soon!

Add a Pumpkin......
As it's Tuesday it's time for the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz. Our inspirational picture was chosen by Roxann and she added a very seasonal twist!
For my card I tried to think of something equally seasonal and whenever I think of pumpkins I think of Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Soup! I love them!
So what else could I put on my card but a recipe!
I printed out a recipe for pumpkin pie onto some pearlised orange card and layered it onto some brown woodgrain card and attached it to the pearlised red card that I used as my base card with some brads.
I stamped out my little pumpkin several times and coloured with Promarkers, arranged the on the card and added a nice orange bow!
Thanks for stopping by, I do appreciate your time and hope to see you again soon!

Recipe
This week's challenge is up at Eclectic Ellapu and the theme was chosen by the very talented NanaConnie and it is...........Recipe!!
NanaConnie's recipe is 1 digi/stamped image, 2 patterned papers and 3 embellishments of the same kind (3buttons, 3 pearls etc).
Now I don't know about you but I collect recipes, I read them, I love them but I never use them but this is one recipe I did use!
For my image I used a Holly Hobby stamp (that came free with a magazine!).
I coloured her with Promarkers and layered her onto some Christmas green card. The patterned papers are also from Holly Hobby and they were also free on the same magazine as was the sentiment (what a bargain!!).
My three embellishemnts are poinsettias made from a Marianne die set which I cut from some green and red card and used some yellow glitter card for the stamens.
You have to visit Eclectic Ellapu (click on the page tab at the top) to see the amazing creations my teamies have made, they're such a talented bunch I am honoured to be in their company!

Friday's Sentiment Challenge!
The new monthly sentiments challenge has started over at Lady Annes and the theme is Anything Goes. Our sponsor this month is the fabulous Guylou's Inimitables and for my inspirational card I used Guylou's Thanksgiving Chuck.
I coloured him with Promarkers and double layered the mount to make him really pop. I found some nice brown gingham paper in my stash and layered some nice autumn coloured ribbons across it and added a couple of wooden images and some leaf bling.
I think this is such a cute image for a Thanksgiving card - we don't have Thanksgiving in the UK but I'm sure all you ladies from across the pond will be slaving away on the fabulous feast!
Thanks for stopping by, I do really appreciate you taking the time and I would love to see you over at Lady Annes!

Make it Spooky!
Hello again, today it's the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz. I chose today's colours and twist. I picked the in honour of Halloween which is coming up fast!
My inspirational picture was another beautiful plant that I saw at RHS Tatton Flower Show in the summer (what summer?). It was on a stand of the most exquisite Rex Begonias and I just adore the colours!
I had to scratch my head to come up with something spooky! Then I bought a copy of Simply Cards and Papercraft and found a free digi download! There were some great characters on the sheet of downloaded images and I picked out these beauties!
I used a black base card and free cut my blood ouse! I coloured my pretty ladies with Promarkers and cut them out along with some appropriate halloween sentiments, as a finishing touch I added a few drops of blood in the form of them red teardrop gems.
I hope you like my 'Spooky' card; please try and make time to call in a the Outlawz and see the wonderful creations my D teamies have come up with and maybe you have something spooky to enter while you're there!
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you taking the time and I'd love to see you over at the Outlawz too!

Lady Annes has started another challenge - the stamp challenge where you can use any digi or rubber stamped image on your creation. This months sponsor is Eureka Stamps and they generously gave the DT some stamps to work with.
My card features Smell the Pumpkins and I do think it is the cutest image!
I coloured the image using Promarkers and then carefully cut it out. I cut a scalloped square of black card and mounted the image on to it. I used some orange pearl card I used some orange pearl card as my background and used some leaf ribbon that came from Costco across the bottom, I ten added some fabric leaves. The pearls are from Mei Flower - the sentiment is also from Eureka, I cut it out using some wavy zig zag scissors.

CDAC Progressive Freebies
In this last round of the CDAC progressive freebies challenge we had two digi's to play with - the first is from Patti's Creations and is a must for any needlewomen.
I used some Kraft card as my base and cut a piece of spotted fabric and edge stitched it and used it as my background. The image was coloured with Promarkers with some shading from my pencils. I found a good selection of buttons from my stash and a fabric star plus a little ribbon on a nice pearl buckle and a couple of pins.
The second image is from DS4J and is a fabulous mushroom group.
I coloured the image with Promarkers and carefully cut it out. I used a backgroupd stamp from the Stampman and stamped and heat embossed the blue daisies which I mounted on some pearlised blue card then added my image. I used some beautiful ribbon across the bottom and stamped and heat embossed some dragonflies agian from the Stampman and cut out and mounted on the ribbon. I stamped and heat embossed a larger dragonfly on the bottom of the card and used the daydreams sentiment as a stop for my easel card.
I really enjoyed playing with these images and am really looking forward to creating something with the next images - all will be revealed!
Thanks for stopping by, if you get a chance pop over to CDAC and check out the beautiful entries and maybe you'd like to join in!

What's Cookin'?
It's the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz!
This week's inspirational picture and twist was chosen by Guylou:
and with a twist like that I could only use this fabulous image from Mo Manning
Isn't she just the sweetest?
The base card is Centura Pearls. The background has some red card run through a swiss dot embossing folder, layered with some green polka dot paper from one of the Raspberry Road freebie collections matted onto some yellow card, some strawberry digi paper from Raspberry Road. I layered some red gingham ribbon across the strawberry paper. My image was coloured with Promarkers and cut out with a Spellbinder label die. The buttons are from one of the local craft shops and the butterfly is a wooden one that I coloured with a green Promarker to match. Ther sentiment is computer generated.
I hope you like my little lady and I hope you take the time to pop over to the Outlawz and check out the Color Challenge and I hope you'll join us!
I look forward to seeing you there but in the meantime thanks for dropping by and I hope you'll find the time to call back soon!

Eclectic Ellapu
Well this is the first ever post as a DT member for Eclectic Ellapu!
Today see's the start of a brand new challenge blog - Eclectic Ellapu. There will be weekly challenges with some amazing themes!
We have two design teams the Pink team and the Purple team.
This weeks challenge was chosen by Elaine, leader of the Pink team and owner of the blog and it is:
Drum roll Please.......
Anything Goes!
How did you guess!
My card for this first challenge features a digi from Crafts and Me called Mellisa.
For my base card I used some royal blue gloss card, it seems to have so much depth, I love this card! I then cut some flower borders from some pink and blue that I matched with the colours on the digi. This Memory Box die is fabulous, it has sooo many uses. I cut some beautiful glitter paper and the lovely heart paper, both from Trimcraft Fizzy Moon collection, the same size as the digi and arranged them on top of the die cuts. Then I just added a few flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and my card was complete; I coloured the image with Promarkers.
I hope you like my first Eclectic Ellapu posting and hope you will pop over and join in the fun!
The Pink team are:
- Laurian (That's Me!)
Please feel free to go over and leave them some love, they'll really appreciate it!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy my card and that you will come over and play with us at Eclectic Ellapu - see you there!

Color Challenge
Tuesday sure rolls round quickly! Its time for the colour challenge over at the Outlawz again and this weeks inspirational picture was chosen by Ursula,
I started with a black card, coloured the airways digi and the hibiscus flowers with Promarkers. I layered up the airways digi on some red and yellow card then stamped out the tiny postcard from Portobello Road and hand wrote and embossed the greeting. I set my digi cetrally on the card and tucked the postcard under the edge then added the flowers and voila!
I hope you like this weeks offering and hope to see soon!
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time and I love to read your comments!
what an absolutley gorgeous picture - I adore sunsets and this landscape looks surreal; anyway the twist this week was something to do with travel.
Firstly, I found the colours really challenging this week and the twist had me with a completely blank mind, the more I thought about it the blanker I got! Then someone gave me a link to a free vintage digi site and I was browsing, like you do, and lo and behold the lights came on and this is what I came up with

Hello all, gosh I've been so busy, where or where has this week gone - or last week come to it!
This week's inspirational picture was chosen by Margaret, with a twist of pearls - aren't they scrummy colours!
Our sponsor for this month is Guylou's Inimitability and I have used the wonderful clown bear from Guylou.
I coloured the bear using my Promarkers and used some papers from my stash to mount hiim on. I added some ribbon and ric rac to my background. I used some cream pearls for the bobbles on his top and some green pearls down each side to make the purples pop.
I hope you will find the time to call in on our challenge over at the Outlawz (click the page at the top and it will take you straight there!), we have some wonderful sponsors and there are challenges every day of the week and don't forget our sponsor this month is Guylou and the winner of the Color Challenge will get a $10 certificate for Guylou's shop, and she has some fabulous digi's!
