Delicious Darkness have a Facebook page that I joined a while ago. Teri - who is the very talented artist of Delicious Doodles and Delicious Darkness had some giveaways on the FB page the other day and I was lucky enough to win this lovely
I really enjoyed colouring this one as it is outside of my normal comfort zone and I let my imagination take over! I used a range of papers for the background that came from Costco a few years ago - there were dozens in the case and they do come into their own for an industrial or vintage look or a combination of both! I used some vintage lace that is a verdigris colour and some of my bling on a string for the 'rivets', I also used some grey pearls and a square diamond!
I hope you like my dabble into the dark fantasy world!!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you visit again soon!

Such an adorable little bunny and can be used for so many occasions, I cut some scalloped circles in different pastel coloured papers - I actually used the blue spot paper so that I could add a sentiment when I decide who I'm sending it to!
Image coloured with mostly Spectrum Noir markers, papers are all from Nit Wits except bottom left and central band. They are from Dovecraft and Crafters Companion! added some pastel pink glitter to the edge of the bunny circle. I love glitter!!
Well I would love to see you over at Penny's this week for this lovely challenge and don't forget to check out Kathryne's fabulous work at Stamp Art Design!

Numbers
The new challenge has started at the Outlawz Color Challenge and we have a fabulous colour palette for you chosen by Ursula
I bet everyone has some kraft card just waiting to be used, well break it out and get playing!
For my card I used kraft as my base card
I got a lovely embossing folder and stamp free on a magazine and when I stamped out the little bear it looked like a number one (whoa don't even try and work out how my mind works!!) so I then stamped him on some kraft card and cut out the number, coloured with alcohol markers. The background is embossed with the pretty daisy embossing folder, it doesn't show too well, then I just added the green gingham ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you over at the Outlawz soon!

The Color Challenge at the Outlawz has started and this week it was my turn to pick the inspirational picture and twist
another of my photos - this one was taken at the roadside in Malaga, Spain in January - I so want to go back!

Hello Wednesday and welcome to the new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty. This week's challenge is sponsored by Lacy Sunshine for our theme of Flowers and I got to play with a Flowerpot Pretty!

The background paper is a download from Crafters Companion, they have some beauties and the sentiment is part of the same download pack. The little gem butterfly is from my bling on a string - I love it!
I hope you'll come over and play at Penny's this week - can't wait to see what you make!

Chick. Chick, Chick, Chicky!

Gerda Steiner has a new challenge with a cute, cute digi as a freebie to enter the challenge! Her work is so sweet it always makes be smile! This little chic is no exception

April's Challenge
Yes it's the start of the April Challenge at Dragonfly Dreams and we want to see 'One for the Boy's (0 - 90)'.
We have a wonderful sponsor this month - Delicious Doodles - and they have some of the most beautiful digis for the guys, I have made a couple of cards, here's the first one
The digi is called In the Harbour and is such a wonderful scene - haven't we all bee at one harbour or other when the tide has gone out and the boats are there just waiting for the water to come and set them free!
I coloured it with Promarkers and tore the edges then inked all round with some indigo ink, I used some faded blue background paper that has been downloaded but for the life of me I can't find which download it was from! I added some frayed hessian, some raffia that I distressed and wrapped then added a starfish charm. The shell stamps are from a Rubber Tapestry peg stamp set, the seagull was for fun!
This is my second card
Again coloured with Promarkers, I used some papers from my stash for the background I also had to give my dragon some flames so I used some iridescent vellum and drew some fire on it, the sentiment was hand written and embossed with some Dragon Red embossing powder. The image is called Tamed Dragon and is a fabulous image for any dragon lover (me included!!).
You have to come over to Dragonfly Dreams and see the wonderful creations the ladies have put together for your delectation and inspiration!
You could also win some digis from Delicious Doodles, so what are you waiting for!

Fight for Lauryn!
I have a different post for you today.
The is a very normal family who have just had the devastating news that their two year old daughter/granddaughter has leukaemia The treatment is 35 - 40 days of chemo therapy, poor. poor little soul.
Now on a very practical note her family have to make it to the hospital all the time to be with her and they are going to be on such a tight budget and with this in mind the owner of the Outlawz, Colleen Holmes has started a donate button on the Outlawz and on Through the Craftroom Door (also her baby!) to help them. As a 'thank you' for donating there are some very cute digis that will be sent to you, I have made this card using one of them
.
What a beautiful image - the artists that have donated these images are Jellypark and the Stamping Boutique and these images are only available through the donation buttons for this sweet little girl.
The other image you will receive is this sweetie in both an outline and coloured version
there are also some blog/FB buttons
I have posted the four together but you do get them singly.
I would love you all to go over to the Outlawz or Through the Craftroom Door and see the pictures of this little girl and the words from her family - it will melt your heart! Please while you're there leave a donation to help her family survive this ordeal - every penny counts so please, please leave anything you can afford!
Leukaemia is such an awful disease and even more so in one so young - I have had several friends in my life suffer with this and I went looking for some words to share with you about it and I found this wonderful poem, I am only posting the first part here but I have attached the web address so that you can go and read all of it, I found it inspiring!
You will find the rest of it here.
Thanks for visiting and please pop over to one of the above sites to support this little darling!

There's a tiny world inside my bones.
I learned of it one day,
When some bullies came to visit
And decided they would stay.
I learned of it one day,
When some bullies came to visit
And decided they would stay.
Before they came, this little world,
Was happy as could be,
With platelet cells and red blood cells
And white ones having tea.
Was happy as could be,
With platelet cells and red blood cells
And white ones having tea.
These little cells inside my bones
Grew up and worked each day.
They traveled in my blood stream,
Making sure I felt OK.
Grew up and worked each day.
They traveled in my blood stream,
Making sure I felt OK.
The white blood cells were body-guards,
Protecting me from germs.
They used to know some special tricks
That made invaders squirm.
Protecting me from germs.
They used to know some special tricks
That made invaders squirm.
The red blood cells were round and strong,
And carried on their backs,
The oxygen my body needs
To play and to learn facts.
And carried on their backs,
The oxygen my body needs
To play and to learn facts.
The platelet cells were sticky friends,
In charge of making clots.
I’d cut my hand or scrape my arm,
They’d make the bleeding stop.
In charge of making clots.
I’d cut my hand or scrape my arm,
They’d make the bleeding stop.
Well that’s the way it used to be
Before the bullies came.
I hadn’t met this inside world.
I knew nobody’s name.
Before the bullies came.
I hadn’t met this inside world.
I knew nobody’s name.
You will find the rest of it here.
