Spring!

I do believe that Tuesday is officially the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere - they just haven't told the weather!
Well as its spring (allegedly) I thought I needed some spring papers so as I couldn't find any I made some!
So my background papers are entirely my own work and the images are =, of course, from the uber talented Gerda Steiner! This is the progressive challenge image for February!!

I coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers, the spring is die cut from the Alice alphabet

So if you haven't joined in the challenge pop over to GSD Stamps and sign up to get a really cute image each month!

Another Freebie By Christina!

Today I am showing a card I made with the super sweet digi that Christina had drawn and is giving away on her blog until 29 February 2016 so pop over to her blog here and grab it while you can!

This darling image is called "Sending Hugs"

This is what I made with her

I coloured her up using Promarkers and used some delish paper from Hunkydory for the bakground and I used a Spellbinders die cut to frame her and some butterflies from a Joanna Sheen die, the sentiment is from Crafters Companion. Matted onto some cerise mirriboard, the pearl hearts are from Wild Orchid Craft and the little flowers I found in Hobbycraft on a recent visit!

So don't forget to pick up this adorable little lady - go now while you think of it as it won't be there for long!

See you all soon

Monochrome!`

We have a new challenge at the Outlawz Colour Challenge that was chosen by me this week

I would like to see monochrome projects - I don't care which colour but I do want monochrome!

Our sponsor this month is the wonderful All Dressed Up and for this project I used the wonderful image  "A hug makes it all better!.

I coloured the image with Promarkers then cut it out and gently inked the edge with some aqua ink, The background papers I made by typing the words out all over the sheet then colouring with Promarkers to match the image, I matted the background onto some teal mirror board then added some bling on a string to the edges and a nice gingham ribbon and bow through the centre.

I hope you will come over to the Outlawz and join us for this fun challenge!

Teenage Birthday!

My grand daughter will turn 14 on Thursday so I made her a card using the uber lovely digi from All Dressed Up " Love to Dance" as she really does love to dance and does both tap dance and ballet!

I coloured the image with Promarkers the cut her out using a heart die in a double cut, fiddly but worth the end result! I matted onto some cerise mirror card, the same card I used to cut the name and sentiment, I used a cerise glitter card for the age. The paper was a free paper from Create and Craft that came through in an email just in time! I also matted that onto cerise mirror card. I added a cerise satin ribbon and bow that I double tied with some pink organza ribbon. The pearl trim I found in a craft shop in Whitby last summer and I so wish I had bought more as I am at the end of the supply and I have not seen it anywhere else!

The inside has been finished with matching papers and a heat embossed sentiment.

I will enter this into the next challenge at All Dressed Up and the All Dressed Up FB challenge!

A Sweet Freebie for You All!

Today I would like to share a card I made featuring a beautiful digi that is free for the next 7 days over at the very talented Christina's blog.

This is Berry Sweet

isn't that just the most adorable image! Don't forget to get your copy over at Christina's blog before it disappears!
This is what I made with this cute image

I coloured the image using Promarkers and popped up the front strawberry. The papers are from Nit Wits Collections, they have an incredible range of downloadable papers! I used a Tattered Lace Alphabet die for the sentiment that was cut from some berry coloured glitter card and to finish I added some punched hearts!

I hope you like what I did with Christina's gorgeous digi and I hope you will pop over to her blog and check out her fabulous work!
