Frame a Lady!

Wow, that's a new challenge theme at Penny's Paper Crafty! We have images from Sassy Studio Design and frames from Delicious Doodles - how cool is that!

I used Sarah from SSD for my lady and the lotus corners from Delicious Doodles to make a frame!

I used Centura Pearl for my base card and layered it up with some designer paper to set off my frame. I coloured the image and frame with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and finally added some pretty green gems!

So why don't you join us this week and frame a female! I look forward to seeing what you come up with over at Penny's - see you there!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

The Paper Shelter

So it's the new challenge at Penny's and this week we have The Paper Shelter as one of our sponsors. They make wonderful image sets which include a line art drawing and a coloured version.

This cute New Years card is made using the coloured version of this image and isn't it too cute!

So no colouring for me on this one. I cut out the image with a die cut and cut the mat from some copper card. The background paper is a Mulberry Wood paper from Crafters Companion that I matted onto some dark green card. The mesh is from a batch I bought from Lakeland when they did craft stuff, the stars are from one of the pound shops (cute eh?) and I finished with a dark green chiffon bow.

I hope you will come over to Penny's and join in the challenge this week as it's everyones favourite "Anything Goes"!!

I'll see you there!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll stop by again soon!

A Little Birdie.....

We still have the wonderful QKR Stampede as our sponsor on the Color Challenge at the Outlawz!

This week's inspirational picture was chosen by Lindsay and isn't it gorgeous! Great twist eh!
So for my card I have used this cute birdie from QKR Stampede

I used a cream base card and die cut some gold for behind the birdie, I coloured the birdie with Promarkers, I heat embossed the gold bobble on his hat and added some snow to the ground! My hessian (burlap) is some adhesive gold hessian that I bought in Lakeland years ago! The sentiment is cut using my Cricut from some brown card. A slightly different colour schem for a Christmas card but I think it works well!

I hope you will call over and visit our challenge this week, it would be great to see you and lovely if you joined in!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Penny's........

because it's Wednesday! Our new challenge is starting and this week the theme is 'Add a Sentiment', simples!

I have used an image from Digi My World, one of our lovely sponsors this week:

The cute image is called Chelsea and she's from one of the sets that Digi My World do so well, the background rainbow is one of the accessories that go with the sets. I coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, the background paper is from one of the Raspberry Road sets which I matted onto black card, I added some raindrop gems and the sentiment is part of the digi set!

Hope you'll come over and join us at Penny's for this cute challenge - I'm waiting to see what you make!

We've Had a Couple of New Ideas......

over at the Outlawz Color Challenge! We thought you may like a bit of a different challenge so how about this one:

It's Ina's turn to host the challenge and she picked this incredible picture - Ina chose the purple and now you can pick two other colours from the picture and add a twist, all we ask is that you tell us which colours and what your twist is, how good is that!

I have used another image from our sponsor QKR Stampede and isn't she cute!

For my colours I have used magenta and turquoise and for my twist I have added shine (balloons and lots of shiny embellishments!)

I hope you like my little Birthday Girl and I really hope you will join us for this new challenge over at the Outlawz Color Challenge! I really hope everyone will enjoy this new variation and join us this week!

See you there!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Let it Snow!

This is the cutest snowman you've ever seen! It is by Gerda Steiner and is this month's freebie on her site for joining in her challenge!

Here he is

The base card is cut from Centura Pearls, the blue paper is a download from Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine that is matted onto silver board. Ribbon is from Costco. The die cut snowflakes are from memory Box and I glittered them with some translucent glitter then added some pearls to the centres. The greeting is from Hobbycraft and I have heat embossed with some glittered embossing powder.

I just love that little bird munching on his carrot nose - such a wonderful image!

Don't forget to go over to Gerda's and join in this challenge - you can pick up this cutie to join in and I'm sure that you willw ant to make more than one card using this one!

Definitely winter woollies weather here in the UK, it's cold wet and miserable!

Well that's enough moans now onto something to cheer your heart and take your mind off the weather - it's the new challenge at Penny's - yay we say!
This week's theme is - Lots of Layers, how easy is that!

For my card this week I am lucky to be using a beautiful digi from Kathryne at Stamp Art Design!

Meet ALANNAH!

I used some pink pearl card as my base card and added a selection of papers from Raspberry Road, I used a gorgeous snowflake brad to trun the corner down with and added some die cut snowflakes (Memory Box) and added some heart gems to the centres, the snowflakes are all glittered it just doesn't show up too well! I added some lace and ribbon to complete my card.

I coloured this lovely digi with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and added some Flowersoft and glitter to the birdies hat and some glitter to the snow.

I hope you like my card today and if you would like this adorable image just follow the link above!

Tuesday!

Yep, it's come round again so the new Color Challenge is on at the Outlawz.

This week's colours and twist were chosen by Roxann  and aren't they gorgeous!

and because its November we have a new sponsor - QKR Stampede and today I have used one of their fabulous digis! I love this image and have used it three times now and each time I colour it I love how it turns out!
Isn't he just adorable! I coloured him with Promarkers, all the papers are from a set of papers I got from Costco a couple of years ago (I think I'll still be using them next decade!!) I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto some cream card then distressed it and gave it a bit of an inking, added some ribbon and some bling leaves and that's about it!

I hope you can come over and join us this week, I'd love to see your creations and don't forget you could win some digis from QKR Stampede!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you call by again soon!

Black and White......

well it was supposed to be but a bit of red crept into mine and it wouldn't go away!

Yes it's the Pink teams challenge at Eclectic Ellapu this week and the them is ......Black & White!
For my card I used an image from Scrappers Delight that I love

I used some papers from Paperbox for the background that I cut up into diamonds and them pieced together,  it is quite effective but it doesn't show very well. The red corners are cut with A Memory Box die, one of my favourites and the border is some black ribbon with a white stitched edge.
I coloured the image with Promarkers and used a little FLowersoft for the pom poms.

Well that's my black and white (and red) card which I hope you like - come over to Eclectic Ellapu and join us in this brilliant challenge - show us your creativity!

I hope to see you there - thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!
