An Anniversary Card

It's like taking a cork out of a bottle, I am trying to catch up on some of the posts I wanted to make!

This is a card I made for a friend who's sister was about to celebrate her 50th wedding anniversary, in fact it's tomorrow.

I made an 8 x 8 card base and used the Songbirds die collection from Tonic. I cut them out of some matte gold and layered onto some navy iridescent vellum. The numbers were cut from another Tonic set that came with the drawers I bought for an advent calendar and the names are cut from some engine turned effect paper on the Silhouette, I edged the card with some thin strips of gold.

this is the inside

She was thrilled with it and has flown off to Ireland today for the big celebration tomorrow - I hope the happy couple like it too!

Thanks for stopping by - see you again soon!

Yay, I'm Back!

Yep, computer problems are all over now - I got a new one, woohoo! So I thought I'd give you all a little reminder of the Colour Challenge this week, we have Anything But A Card and the ladies have made some awesome projects - here's the palette

We also have the most amazing sponsor this week - Lunagirl! You just have to check out her store where you can find the most incredible collection of vintage images you can find the store here
Lunagirl

so here's what I made

It is a pocket tag where you can add a gift card or even some money to the pocket. The papers are from the Sweet Paris collection, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, the little spool is from the Works and I have added some dark cerise twine, The beautiful bead was a gift from a lovely lady and it was just so perfect for this tag!

OK that's it for now, please come on over to the Outlawz and join in the fun!

How Stinkin' Cute!

Well it is isn't it! This is the freebie for Gerda Steiner's challenge this month and I just had to get him made up!

I coloured him up with my Promarkers and layered him with a little magenta glitz onto some cute paper from the Mickey Mouse collection. The bottom papers were both members gifts from Create and Craft and to finish it off I added some punched flowers - I forget I have punches!!

If you want to play with this cutie get over to Gerda's and sign up - he is only available free to challenge players - he is also available in the shop!

Dragonfly Dreams - How Does Your Garden Grow!

Our new challenge has started at Dragonfly Dreams and we would love to see what you grow in your garden!

Our sponsor this month is the ubber talented Fred She Said who have the most fabulous digis of flowers, I so love to play with these gorgeous images and I chose a poppy for my image as I love poppies and have lots in my garden!

I created a circle with the poppy image then coloured it with my Promarkers and cut it out. I used the chalkboard technique to create the sentiment in the centre. The paper is from the new Bohemian collection and it does actually have glittery stripes that just don't show up in the photo! I added some black lace and a black stitched ribbon, some black flower buttons with diamonds in the centes and a couple of pearl hearts.

I'd love to see you over at the challenge - hope to see you there!

May Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz

We have another challenge started at the Outlawz and this month our sponsor for the Progressive challenge  is the wonderful Ppinky Dolls.

Chrishanthi gave us a beautiful image for our members to enjoy and hopefully create something special with. This is what I came up with, the image is called 'Another Gift'

I coloured her with my Promarkers and teamed her up with some Bobunny paper, the sentiment has been cut into the paper using a die from Tattered Lace. The lace and ribbon are both from Fantastic Ribbons.

If you want to join in with this challenge head over to the Outlawz and join up - there are lots of other challenges going on as well so we will keep your fingers busy and you will also meet some wonderful crafty people and make new friends in no time - so what are you waiting for - there's a link at the top of this page that will take you straight there!

Playing Catch Up Again!!

I am still having computer nightmares and don't have enough saved to replace my laptop yet - so I feel I will be playing catch up for a few more months yet!
Eclectic Ellapu has a new challenge started and the Pink team challenge is to make a Tussie Mussie!
Now I had never heard of this before and I can tell you it was a challenge for me! As I couldn't find any suitable fabric I stuck to paper to make mine and this is what I came up with

I used a Cheery Lyn doily die to make the cone, cutting it from two shades of gold, I then added some lace and a pretty bow. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the feathers from my stash!

So come over and join us for this unusual challenge and for once, be challenged!

See you there!!
