Baby Love

Hello everyone - the Olympics are finally over so normality will resume very soon! It's hard to be creative when you're jumping up and down shouting and cheering! Thank the Lord it's only once every four years...

Well on to today's card.

It's the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz and for today's inspiration picture it was my choise and I picked a beautiful picture of a clematis from my garden and with a beautiful flower like that the twist had to be add flowers!

My card uses a beautiful image from Saturated Canary, Krista gave this one away on her blog and I think she's divine!

.

I coloured her with Promarkers, the background paper is from my stash and I think is from Papermania. The die cuts are both from Marianne and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon, lace and bling are from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by - hope to see you again!

Slugger Sam

I have made this card for a friends birthday. I chose the colours specifically as he's Irish and into sports and driving everyone mad glued to the Olympics!

The image is from Dr Digi House of Stamps, I think they are quite on the scene but check them out for some real fun images!

The base card is Centura Pearl white, the background paper is an old one from Papermania and the green spotted is from one of the Raspberry Road collections. The ribbons are from Mei Flower and the gems and buttons are from my stash. The sentiments are from a collection of clear stamps that came free with Craft Beautiful magazine - the rest of the set are equally useful!

I coloured him with Promarkers and I do think he's a fine figure of a man!

That's all for today, thanks for stopping by and call back soon!

Christmas in July!

I can't believe it's Tuesday again! Gosh this week has flown. DH is going to take me away for my 60th birthday so we have spent lots of time (my craft time!) searching for somewhere to stay in Cornwall at the end of August! We finally found a very nice looking place in St Austell and as I want to visit the Eden Project on my birthday; its an ideal location,,,,,,, so I can start to get excited now!!

It's the Color Challenge over at The Outlawz and this week it is Christmas in July! Teresa picked the fabulous colours and the twist this week and how gorgeous are they, especially for Christmas!

These were the colours Teresa had for her re-wedding when she and her husband renewed their vows after 25 years!

For my card I chose a Mo Manning image, I love this image. There are three or four like this and I think they are so adorable!

I layered the beautiful paper from Jak Heath onto some silver crackle card (shame the silver looks black), the base card is White Centura Pearl and the ribbon is one I found in a bargain bin in the craft shop, the greeting is made from some turquoise mirri board letters (that also look black!!). I inked the edge of the die cut that the image is on and added a small silver star charm to her ornament string,

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used Flowersoft in Polar White for the fur trim on her hat. I made a mask for the image and sprayed the ornament with spray glue them covered with silver glitter for a real Christmassy look. I do so love making Christmas cards and usually make far too many each year! I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Color Challenge July 24

Another week has flown by! I had some time off work last week so DH and I were out and about most days leaving very little time for crafting! I did make about 30lbs of jam so I did do some crafting just not the pretty kind!!
This week's inspirational picture was chosen by Guylou and what fabulous colours they are!

My card for this challenge over at the Outlawz features a beautiful image from our sponsor for this month, A Day for Daisies.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and I cut it out using a die from Cardcraft Plus. The delicious border is a Memory Box die as is the die I have used for the corners. The flowers were from the local craft shop and the sentiment is hand written using 3D paints; the background paper is an old one from Papermania.

I hope you can find time to pop over to the Outlawz and join us, there's always something going on!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Tuesdays Color Challenge July 17

Well it's the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz again! This weeks amazing inspirational picture was chosen by Ursula, thank you Ursula for such an amazing picture!

This weeks twist was to add things with wings, that leaves you plenty of scope for artistic licence!
My card for this weeks challenge features a digi image from Guylou's Inimitables and isn't she fabulous!
I coloured her with Promarkers, I adore her hair! The background was made from Co'ordinations which is black backed with turquoise. I used an embossing folder from Sheena Douglass then sanded back to bring the turquoise through. The butterflies and dragonflies are punches and I added a little Stickles to make them pop, I also added some glitter to her wings.

Please pop over to the Outlawz and check them out, there is a different challenge every day, there's even a challenge that will give you free digi's!They are also a fabulous bunch of people and before you know it you'll have a whole new set of friends - see you there!

Thanks for stopping by!

Through the Craftroom Door

A quick post from me tonight. Hope everyone is well and surviving this awful weather!
My card tonight is one that was featured in the online magazine Through the Craftroom Door, in the May/June edition. I thought I had lost all the photo's when my old laptop died on me some weeks ago but I'd forgotten that I used DH's camera to take the shots and he never deletes anything!

It's an 8" square card, the base card is cut from an A3 sheet of green card from my local craft shop. The fairy is a stamp I bought some years ago and forgot I had - how could I forget such a beauty? I coloured her with Promarkers and glittered her wings. All the background is made up of different diecuts - the corners are a Memory Box die, the butterfly is a Marianne die, the doily type are from the Spellbinders Morrocan set and the flowers are from Marianne and Spellbinders. The vine die is from Memory box and there is a little ribbon behind her. I added lots of bling and here she is!

I hope you like her, I think she is a beautiful fairy and is definately worth inking again!

If you get a chance do check out Through the Craftroom Door, there are some amazing tutorials and great features as well as 7 free digis in this issue for an amazingly low annual subscription of $18.

Oh and I forgot to say the July/August edition has just come out and I've got some cards in that one as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace!

Hello everyone, hope you're all having a good day. Well we had some sunshine today - woohoo! It must have been summer!
My card today is a Paper Shelter image called Hippie Girl, I fell in love with her as I was there and she could have been me!!

I coloured her with Promarkers in true hippy style! The papers are from my stash - I think they are Papermania but I've had them forever so not really sure! The flowers were from my local craft store and the sentiment is hand written with some 3D paint.
They are having a design team call at Paper Shelter so I think I will enter her for that!

Thanks for stopping by!
