Happy St Patrick's Day!

We have a new challenge started at the Outlawz Colour Challenge and it has just a hint of St Patric's Day about it!

This week's challenge was chosen by me and with an Irishman for my lifetime partner I guess St Patrick's Day has to feature this week!
I was also very lucky to have a wonderful digi sent to me from the very talented Christina Hor

Christina will send the digi out to anyone if they contact her!
I needed to make a card for a very dear friend who has just got the all clear following chemo after surgery for lung cancer and I thought this blessing is just so perfect for her!
So here's what I made

Once I had coloured the image I decided it had a distinct Victorian feel to it so I thought I would continue that  style with my design so I edged the image with some green glitter card and surrounded with lace, I used some olive green to matt my background paper onto then covered that with some die cuts from a Heartfelt Creations die that was perfect!
I do hope you like what I have done with Christina's beautiful digi and don't forget to contact her if you would like it!
I look forward to seeing you over at the Colour Challenge this week!

Sweet Daisy!

This is a digi from Miss Daisy Stamps and it its just adorable!

I coloured her with mostly Copics and some Promarkers. The background papers are ones I made and if anyone wants them email me with papers in the subject and I will send them to you, there are 8 in the spring set.

I layered it up onto two shades of blue card and added some blue organza ribbon and some cerise sparkle tape, a die cute sentiment and a couple of butterflies finish it off.

Don't forget to check out Miss Daisy Stamps for some cute and adorable images!

Bunny Heaven!

Well carrots are supposed to be a bunny's favourite and this bunny has the biggest carrot ever!
The image for this month's progressive challenge over at GSD Stamps is the cutest bunny ever - and here he is

I coloured this cute little fella with Promarkers and Copics. My base card is a Kraft card and layered up with some yellow card and some great spring paper from Craft Asylum, bunny has been centred onto orange glossy card and blocked with green and yellow. corner die cuts are a Marianne die that I cut the centre from - I added a couple of Kraft hearts and some cute yellow flower gems to finish off!

I hope you like my bunny and why not come over to GSD Stamps and join in the fun!

National Pig Day!

Yes folks this week its National Pig Day and at Festive Friday over at the Outlawz this is one of this weeks celebrations!
For my card I used a wonderful image from Gerda Steiner Designs

I used some great paper from Raspberry Road for my background and added the sentiment!

Image coloured with Promarkers.

I hope you will come over for this latest challenge and make something to share with us for these fun challenges!

Thinking of You!

Eclectic Ellapu has started for this month and I am sooooooo behind with my post!

The Pink team challenge this month is to make a project for thinking of you/in my thoughts. There are so many occasions that you need a card for this so this is  your opportunity to have a lovely card on hand for when its needed!

For my card I decided to get inky so I made the background using my collection of inks and added the die cut cut from black glitter card.

I also used a Sheena Douglass die cut dragonfly to finish if off.

I hope you will come on over to eclectic Ellapu and play with us this month!

Spring!

I do believe that Tuesday is officially the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere - they just haven't told the weather!
Well as its spring (allegedly) I thought I needed some spring papers so as I couldn't find any I made some!
So my background papers are entirely my own work and the images are =, of course, from the uber talented Gerda Steiner! This is the progressive challenge image for February!!

I coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers, the spring is die cut from the Alice alphabet

So if you haven't joined in the challenge pop over to GSD Stamps and sign up to get a really cute image each month!

Another Freebie By Christina!

Today I am showing a card I made with the super sweet digi that Christina had drawn and is giving away on her blog until 29 February 2016 so pop over to her blog here and grab it while you can!

This darling image is called "Sending Hugs"

This is what I made with her

I coloured her up using Promarkers and used some delish paper from Hunkydory for the bakground and I used a Spellbinders die cut to frame her and some butterflies from a Joanna Sheen die, the sentiment is from Crafters Companion. Matted onto some cerise mirriboard, the pearl hearts are from Wild Orchid Craft and the little flowers I found in Hobbycraft on a recent visit!

So don't forget to pick up this adorable little lady - go now while you think of it as it won't be there for long!

See you all soon
