Lady Annes Getting Ready for Christmas!

Happy Saturday everyone! It is very cold and a bit snowy here and definitely the weather to stay indoors!
Today see's the start of Lady Annes Christmas Progressive Freebie Challenge and to start off the challenges you will get two images from Crafting with Jack.

I couldn't wait to get started when I got mine, the first one for me will be a real 'go to' image as you can whip up a card in no time that looks stunning

I managed to print six images to a sheet of card (so I made six, lol). I coloured the image with Promarkers and added some glitter to the starts to make them pop. I cut them out into squares then rounded the corners with a clorner punch. I had some delish paper that I bought in a funny little shop we call the shed shop. He sells end of line stationery and sometimes some craft stuff and this one I spotted and got 12 sheets for a pound, what a bargain! I think it is the perfect background for this image and gives it some richness

and as I said, I made six! So quick and easy and great effect - fabulous to make six cards in an evening!

The second image is equally a 'go to' image.

Again coloured with Promarkers, I added a touch of glitter to the flame and the centres of the poinsettias - what a universally lovely Christmas image! I cut it out using a Spellbinders label die and glittered the edge to match my background paper - I made four of these (I got four on a sheet) in an evening so another quickie to make some cards in a hurry (I always forget someone!) I think they look great with different backgrounds too

I'm sure I will be making some more of these too!

Why not join in this challenge and get a head start on Christmas there are some fabulous images coming up and as long as you enter a card into the challenge each time you will get the next images so its a win, win situation! If you want to check it out click on the page for Lady Annes Challenges at the top of the page - there are some great challenges with something for everyone so come on over and join in the fun!!

Thanks for stopping by I do appreciate you taking the time and I hope I'll see you over at the challenge too!

Touched by an Angel

A new Progressive Freebie challenge has started over at CDAC and the digis that are starting it off are from Shellys Images. When I saw this image I really, really wanted to colour it, I don't know if you get the urge with certain images but some of them seem to shout out to me!

I coloured the image with Promarkers then cut it out. I used a frame die for the sentiment making the frame form some pink glitter card, I also cut the flourishes from the glitter card as well. The background papers are all from Raspberry Road and actually come from three different sets and to finish it off I threw a little lace and some pearls into the mix!

Such a beautifully drawn angel with a definite vintage feel to it! Don't miss out on this fabulous freebie pop over to CDAC and join in the challenge - not only do you get a beautiful image for free but you get to make some great friends as well!
Thank you for stopping by I really appreciate it and hope to see you again soon!

Tuesday!

Its the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz and it was my turn to pick the inspirational picture

This was another photo I took at the RHS Flower Show, aren't they pretty?

I did something completely different, well outside of my comfort zone!

I made a wreath from some raffia for the base, I then coloured some foundation flowers from WOC with Promarkers to get the beautiful blue and finished them off with some flower sequins and pearls. I had some frosted buds in my stash and added them between the flowers. I set it on a base of a Cheery Lyn doily with some skeleton leaves. My fibres came from the little bows which are made of cotton and coloured with some ink to the leaf green colour.

Well thats it from me for this challenge but I do hope we will see you over at the Outlawz and you will join us in this latest challenge!

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate you taking the time and I hope to see you again soon!

A Recipe.....

The new challenge is up at Eclectic Ellapu and this week I am your host. I thought you might all like a change after the holidays and so this week we have a recipe:

1 die cut, 2 patterned papers,

3 embellishments (can include digi)

and ribbon!

So for my card I am using a really cute image from the Paper Shelter

Now haven't we all seen that face before, lol! I coloured her with Promarkers and added a little green glitt.er to the ribs on her wings and cut her out with an oval die cut. The background papers are by Rasberry Road and Nit Wit Collections. I used some 25mm organza ribbon in cerise, some WOC flowers, some glitter leaf sprays and some bling!

I hope we will see you all over at Eclectic Ellapu with your lovely creations, we look forward to seeing you all!

I hope you like today's post and thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it and hope to see you again soon!

Nana Vic's New Challenge!

Well hello all! I got my dates a bit mixed up and should have posted this card yesterday in line with the latest challenge from Nana Vic - oh well, better late than never!

This is my all time favourite image from Nana Vic, I'm so glad I finally own it -  I think it has so many uses and it just speaks to you - the perfect peace!

I coloured the image with Promarkers and carefully cut it out. I used a base card of Centura Pearls white and coloured up the background to match the image, I used some peg stamps from Rubber Stamp Tapestry and stamped up the shells and starfish, then found some small letters and stamped my sentiment - which is how I feel when I look at this image!

I tried to get a seamless look to spotlight the image and to give it more impact I layered parts of the image.

I used my glaze pen on the flip flops and the large shells.

Well that's my card for this challenge I hope you like it and I do hope you'll join us over at Lady Annes for this latest challenge from Nana Vic and if you want to pop over and see what delicious artwork she has available you can find her here!

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate your visit and I hope to see you again soon!

Normal Service will Resume.......

Well the holidays are finally over and everyone is back at work or school - back to normal!

I hope you are all getting along with normal life and maybe enjoying a little peace and quiet! So it's Tuesday and that means it the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz, this week's inspirational picture was chosen by Ursula

Ursula's twist is to add texture - ooooh what a yummy picture!

For my card, for once, I decided not to use a digi or stamp that needed colouring!

I printed a beautiful silhouette of a fairy from a My Craft Studio CD  onto some pale blue pearlised paper. I layered it onto some dry embossed bright blue metalised paper which I added some lovely sparkly ribbon to then topped with some plain white ribbon finished in a bow. This was layered onto some dark blue vellum. My base card is Centura pearl white and it has been topped with some textured blue paper covered with some very wide lace that I found in my stash. I added the topper that I had created and made the greeting using Word.

A little different and I hope today's offering will appeal!
Thanks for stopping by I do appreciate you taking the time!

See you soon.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2013! I hope this year is a good one for you and for the rest of the world.
As its Tuesday that can mean only one thing - the Color Challenge at the Outlawz!

This weeks inspirational picture and colour palette was chosen by Roxann:

Roxann chose the colours, light turquiose, blue grey and melon with a twist of add twine. What a wonderful change from the colours we have been using recently - a real breath of fresh air!

For my card I chose an image from D'Arcys Diaries

isn't she cute? I coloured her with Promarkers and used some papers from Nit Wits Collections for my background (now I've got a decent printer again, Yay!). I puched the corner with a Martha Stewart punch and threaded my twine through the loop to add my sentiment which I anchored with a pretty flower shaped button. I used Spellbinders corners, some grossgrain ribbon and some bling.

Hope you like it and thank you so much for visiting, I love that you have taken the time and appreciate your comments!
See you again soon!
