Australia Day!

This week, well on 26th January, is Australia Day. So our lovely Aussie teamie, Ina, jumped at hosting the new challenge at The Outlawz Colour Challenge!

Yes, this week's challenge is to use the colours of the flag to make your project!

Well I decided to have a techniques day, so I got my stamps and inks out, a bit of torn paper and some embossing powders and set to work - this is what I came up with

I used a circle die cut for the moon and I gave it a bit of glam with some Wink of Stella. The fairy and swirly dies were free on a magazine and I used some red embossing powder to heat emboss them, the blue background is inked (boy were my hands blue!) and I finished it off with some white die cut corners (die from Joy).

So lets see your red, white and blue projects - they can be as simple or as fancy as you like!

The theme is everyone's favourite - Anything Goes and we have a new sponsor this week, The Stamping Boutique!

I got to play with one of their images this week and this is what I made

I coloured her with Promarkers and added a little gloss pen to bring out her earrings and hair band, The papers are digi papers that I can't remember where I bought them, lol! ( I usually put them in a folder with the makers name!) and I just added some black gems to the corners,

I hope you will join us this week at Penny's - see you there!

I found this picture of a fading rose with a butterfly on it in my photo's and thought it was perfect for the Colour Challenge at the Outlawz!

Aren't they lovely colours!

We have Stitchy Bear as our sponsor this month and they gave us some great digi's to play with so this is what I made

The digi is called Beary Happy Bloom and is so cute!

The butterflies are cut with a Joanna Sheen die and the flowers at the bottom are cut froma Memory Box die, image coloured with Promarkers.

So What's Your Favourite Colour?

We'd like to know at Dragonfly Dreams this month - that is the new challenge that is just beginning!

We have a wonderful sponsor - Stitchy Bears Digi Outlet and the DT got to play with some of their wonderful products! This is what I had to play with

She's called Lolitta and you can find her here

Well this is what I made with her and can you guess my favourite colour is pink?

I printed her out twice and coloured her with Copics, the papers are from the Gypsy Soul collection by Raspberry Road. I used a combination of Tonic dies to make the lacy edging and the sentiment is also a Tonic die. Finished of with a selection of flowers.

I do hope you will join us for this challenge and show us your favourite colours!

Happy New Year!

Yes it's that magical day when the world resets itself and another year begins!

Not only do we have a New Year we also have a new Progressive challenge at the Outlawz!
This month's digi is from All Dressed Up and its a beauty

She is such a cutie! I coloured her with Promarkers and used some Flowersoft and shaggy glitter for her fur bits, the glitter really give it some texture.
The papers and elements are from Michele Roo, over the Christmas period she has given away lots of papers and elements and I have used some of them here!
I think she makes a lovely winter birthday card!

I hope you are going to join us in this fun challenge and don't forget as long as you enter your project in the month you will keep getting the next image and we've got some crackers lined up for this year!

I look forward to seeing you there!

Happy New Year!
