Christmas in July!

We have a new challenge starting at Penny's and this week we would like to see stitching in your projects either real or faux!

The wonderful sponsors this week are Saturated Canary and Floppy Latte. My card uses a Floppy Latte image and FLoppy Latte paper, I love this paper, it looks just like fabric and gives such a wonderful effect!

I printed the paper then printed the image onto the printed paper. I also printed it out onto some white card.

I carefully cut out the circle and coloured it with a gold Promarker then stuck it to the image printed onto the paper. I added some faux stitching to the edges (I was going to get the sewing machine out but.........) then mounted the whole thing to a dark grey base card.

Once I worked out how to do it this became a very quick card to make and I think a few of these will get made for Christmas using the different colours in this paper pack.

I hope we will see you over at Penny's Paper Crafty this week with all your lovely stitched projects!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon and hopefully over at Penny's too!

Cocktail Anyone?

A very quick post from me tonight, I have had this coloured up for a couple of days to try and get a card made for the Dare to Be Sassy challenge this week!

Phew! finally got there

isn't this a fabulous image for the party girl? I usedsome cute spotty paper from my stash for the background and layered it onto some olive (quite appropriate!)green card. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment then glamed it up with some bling on a string and added some red prearls.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used a little Starlight Gelly roller to bring the glass out, isn't she just the ultimate party girl!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Summers Ended!!

OMGosh - it rained and rained yesterday, I really thought we would have to build an Ark! We had thunder and lightning all day at work; the lights kept going out but worse still - they kept coming back on, lol! They say we have rain all week - what a surprise!!!

Tuesday and that can only mean the Color Challenge at the Outlawz and this week's inspirational picture was chosen by Penny and the twist is:

Make it 3D

Such lush colours you could make some wonderful things with those colours!

For my card I chose to go CAS and used an image from Right Said Fred

I coloured the image up four times then cut it out so that the petals layered, the centre was coloured yellow with Promarkers then glittered with some glam dust. The paper is from my stash and just happened to be the perfect colour along with the yellow card that I used to layered it up on!

This is the daisy up close, I coloured it with Promarkers before cutting out - this flower works so well for building up to a three dimensional flower, the centre on the top layer I rounded out using a large embossing tool, it makes it look much more realistic.

I hope you will join us over at the Outlawz and show us your beautiful projects!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Sunday.............

and that it's the new challenge from Eclectic Ellapu!

This weeks challge is from the Pink Team and was chosen by our beloved leader Elaine!

This week's theme is everyones favourite - Anything Goes.............

So for my card this week I have used another birth card I have made recently, if you also follow the Altered Eclectics you will have seen the shadowbox I also made for this baby!

The card is an 8 x 8 as it was sent from the office so had to be large enough for everyone to sign. I do think it makes a card so special when you can add some personal detail, I knew that it was going to be a boy - the wonder of modern medical technology - and I also knew the name so I was well ahead!

I do think that the best baby images are from Mo Manning, She has the ability to capture the essence of a baby and this is one of them!

I coloured the image with Promarkers. I mounted it onto a lemon doily. The blue ground paper is from Papermania and is ages old, I found the cute bows on a string at one one the haberdashery stalls on Bury market, some lace from the same place and some blue bling finishes it off! All the letters were cut using my Cricut from glitter card.

I hope you will join us this week over at Eclectic Ellapu we love to see your luscious projects! You have to call by to see the amazing projects from the DT, just jaw dropping talent!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Wednesday.................

and the new challenge has started at Penny's Paper Crafty!

This week we would like you to 'Bling it On' so let's see your projects with lots of bling and sparkle!

For my card I have used one of the Moppets from Lacy Sunshine who is on of our sponsors. Anyone who knows Lacy Sunshine will know that Heather, the artist, produces the most beautiful digi's!

She is such a forlorn looking little lady and I love her spiders!  I found the papers in my stash and they matched with the colours I had coloured her in perfectly! I will have to learn to get the papers before I colour - it would make my life so much simpler! The edge of the card has some 'bling on a string' around it; I love this stuff, you buy it by the metre and it is about ten rows deep so you just cut up what you need, great! I alos added some pink gems to the top of her hat.

She has been coloured with Promarkers.

I hope you will come over to Penny's and join in this week's challenge we'd love to see you and briing on the bling!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Tuesday......

and another Color Challenge at the Outlawz!

This week we have Christmans in July and the gorgeous colour palette was chosen by Ina

I did struggle with this colour combo I love all the colours but I seem to get a metal block with purple!

This is what I came up with:

The image is from Mo Manning, the  Holly Fairy and I think she is just adorable! For my background I used some purple parchment layered with some paper from Nit Wits and it is an olive green based paper just doesn't look it in the photo!! I set the fairy onto some gold card and added some lace and gold sentiment, there is a touch of glitter on her wings but that doesn't seem to show either!!.

She is coloured with Promarkers.

Hope you will come over to the Outlawz and join us in this weeks challenge I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

I coloured him with Promarkers. Such a cute image for a boy or guy who's into fishing!

Tuesday....................

and the new Color Challenge has started at the Outlawz!

This week's delicious colours and twist were chosen by Roxann

now how luscious are those colours for a wedding!

For my card I have used a fabulous digi from DS4J that I was lucky enough to win in a blog hop and I have to say it is my favourite wedding image!

I used some paper I found in my stash that was perfect, overprinted with congratulations for the background paper, I used a Martha Stewart punch on the corners. I cut an oval of peach glitter card to back the lovely couple. I used some twisted peach ribbons down each side finished with some blue heart gems and some peach and blue hearts cut from some glitter card with a heart punch. Finished off with a sentiment heat embossed in blue onto some peach pearl card.

The image was coloured with Promarkers - aren't they a lovely couple?

I hope you can join us at the Outlawz for this week's challenge, pop in and see the wonderful cards the DT have made for your inspiration!

See you soon, thanks for stopping by and I hope you will call again!

Flowers Anyone?

Yes a new challenge has begun at Eclectic Ellapu and the them from the Pink team this week is:

Flowers!

Now you get given a theme and boy does the mind go into overdrive! I was going to maske all sorts of flowers dah de dah! I could have just done what I normally do and made a card with embellies, you know a few flowers a bit of ribbon, some lace and a nice digi but no, I had to think flowers - I eventually settled on this

It looks very simple for all the work I put into it! The background was made using a mask that I inked then spritzed with a mica spray then edged the card with turquoise glitter. The flower is layed up in three shades and is cut using my Cricut. I then shaped the flowers and glittered all the edges in turquoise glitter. The centre has been cut from yellow card and glittered with some gorgeous glitter. It was finally edged with transluscent beads.

So come on over and join us this week with all your flowery cards and projects, we would love to see all your lovely works with flowers - well it is summer!

See you over at Eclectic Ellapu!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Think Pink!

I have used a digi from one of our sponsors, Digi My World for my card

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used some lovely ice cream paper from Nit Wit Collections. I also printed out two large pink cones to go behind the image.

He's a cute little Ice Cream vendor but he only sells pink ice cream, lol!

Another Sunny Day!

Well we have anothe beautiful sunny day here in the UK and on this lovely sunny Tuesday let me introduce the new  Color challenge that has started over at the Outlawz.

This week I got to choose the colours and twist:

I love pink and yellow together, I do think that nature has a way of showing us some wow factor - we just don't always see it!

For my card I decided to do something a little different and this is what I can up with:

I used a leaf shaped die to cut out the leaves in the three colours the scored them with the leaf markings using an embossing tool. The background paper is from my stash and the sentiment was in a freebie set from one of the mags!

Very simple!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope we wee you over at the Outlawz for this new challenge!

See you all soon!

Penny's

Yes it's a new challenge over at Penny's Paper Crafty and this week's theme is Spots and Stripes!
We are being sponsored by Bugaboo and Stitchbear this week and my card features a digi from Stitchibear!

Now isn't she a beautiful fairy? I had a hunt through my stash and came up with the lush striped paper that I have used for the background and found all sorts of off cuts of spotty papers! I cut the flower vine behind the image with a Memory Box die and used a butterfly die (can't remember who's it is!) for the two big spotty butterflies. I punched out the tiny butterflies from pink and blue spotty paper, I added some blue gems to the large butterflies feelers! I used some glitter card to back the glam fairy!

I used Promarkers to colour the image.

Hope you like my fairy and why not join us over at Penny's for this great challenge - I hope to see you there!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

For my card I chose an image by Lacy Sunshine, I so love Heather Valentin's work. I used some pink paper from my stash and some gorgeous wide burgundy ribbon and some pretty ivory lace. The flowers were from the fabulous parcel I received from Jacque when I won her weekly candy a few week's ago! How lucky was I!!!

I coloured her with Promarkers as ever and that's my li'l ballerina!

There's a New Kid on the Block!

And it is Altered Eclectic!

I'm sure by now you all know I'm on the DT of Eclectic Ellapu. Elaine our beloved leader and owner who many of you will know creates the most wonderful altered art, decided to start a challenge purely for altered art and she let me tag along!

The new challenge is called..............Altered Eclectics and this is the first challenge! Yay!!

The challenges will run monthly and are always Anything Goes - any altered art project is welcome but we do not want cards, ATC's or scrapbook pages as there are plenty of those already. So all you lovely people who enjoy giving a new life to an old object - come and join us!

My project for this month is a Shadowbox for a baby! I had an apprentice working in my office who was very good but unfortunately, she decided to have a baby and has left to have her little one! We knew it was a boy and what his name is and I am pleased to say he made his presence known last Friday, 10 days late and a whopping 9lb 14oz - Mum and baby are doing well!

The shadowbox I got courtesy of our lovely Elaine, I ordered some from a site that has now closed and they seemed to go into meltdown before they processed my order!
The outside is covered with some white duct tape that has been embossed and covered with some pale blue acrylic paint then buffed off. The letters are some I had in my stash along with the teddies, I made them from some lightweight non firing clay and I painted them all with metallic blue acrylic. I line the sections with some of the duct tape covered with lace.

I used some wooden butterflies that have been glittered and varnished. The front is finished with some fine blue satin ribbon, the back has been covered with some blue gingham and some ginham ribbons were added to hang it from.

I hope you like my little shadowbox and I would love to see you over at Altered Eclectics for our very first challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!
