P - A - R - T - Y ! ! !

Well the time has finally arrived to Par-tay! The Outlawz are celebrating having over 2,000 members and as their members are from all around the world, the theme of the party is Where in the World. There are games, challenges and a blog hop all with super prizes - to participate you need to be a member so why not hop on over to the Outlawz and join up! So many prizes to be won!

My card for the Color Challenge depicts the British flag, and also celebrates the Outlawz party

The image I used is from Mayzy's Art and I coloured her in the colours of the union flag. I added lots of ribbons in red white and blue and made her a little flag to wave!
The background was made with a Darice embossing folder, Swiss Dots. I used some liquid gloss on the balloons to make them pop and the backgound red and blue are metalic silk mirri card.

The inside was covered with some blue metallic paper and I used the same mirri card for the background die cuts, these were finished with a Union flag and some word art.

I hope you will all join in with the fun if you want to join in our fabulous tutorial blog hop this is the order and don't forget to join the Outlawz first then leave a comment on each blog to be in with a chance of winning one of the spot prizes and there are some great prizes up for grabs!

Open Road

I made this card from the image supplied by Sandi Huggett on the CFC Challenge over at the Outlawz. Every two weeks you are given two digi's from the very talented Sandi Huggett and Anne Fenton, from which you need to make at least one card - with their work it's not hard!
When I saw this image it looked vintage to me and I wanted it to look old but soft.

I have a whole case of papers I got from Costco a couple of years back and I found the perfect papers for my background. I coloured the image with chalks, I've not used my chalks for ages, years in fact so I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I did manage to get the effect I wanted. The sentiment is made from a book die from Sizzix (yonks old!!) which I cut from some cream paper and chalked the edges to age it and found a peel off for the words, I've just rolled and taped it to make it look like a book. The little wooden embellishment I recently got from Cardcraft Plus. The braid is from Paper Mania, I think, and I have had it for ever, LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it!

Tuesday's Color Challenge

Well it's Tuesday again and it's a Bank Holiday here in the UK, woohoo! It's the colour challenge over at the Outlawz, Today's inspirational picture was chosen by Lori and isn't her colour palette amazing!

For my card I chose an image from Mayzy's Art, it was a freebie she gave away with a purchase and I think it's so cool! I made this card for the young lady I work with as she has taken up running (and it looks quite like her!) she's a whole 19 this week = I hope she likes it!

The papers are both digital, the check is from the Woodland Wishes collection by Nit Wits and the blue spot  was a freebie from Jak Heath she has some amazing stuff on her blog please go and check it out and leave her some love! The image was coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment is a stamp from Paper Mania, stamped then heat embossed.
For the twist I added some mosaic tiles that I happened to have in the right colours. I don't know who makes them but I did see some in Hobbycraft when I last visited so they must still be about and I do think they're effective. I have them in gold and silver as well - Christmas me thinks, hmm..........watch this space!
Do pop over to the Outlawz and check out the fabulous creations, you may even decide to stay and join us!

Happy Tuesday everyone and thanks for stopping by I do appreciate it!

Hello Again!

I've had such a busy time this last couple of weeks and my dear old laptop died on me as well! I've not had time to add any posts recently but I have one to add today!
This image is my Krista Smith and its called Ava - she very kindly gave it away on her blog and I just think it's adorable!!
I coloured her with Promarkers, the papers are from my stash as is the ribbon and lace. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and are coloured to match and apart from that I just added a bit of bling!
Thanks for looking, I appreciate you taking the time!
