The Sentiment Challenge has Moved!

Good evening everyone, my post tonight is for the Sentiment Challenge at Lady Annes. The site has moved but the challenge is still up for you to join! We have a challenge running for one month (until 25 October) with a theme of Halloween, with a twist of die cuts; so you've got plenty of time to get your creative juices running and get your entry in! Our sponsor is Sandi's Samples and Sandi is giving the winner four digis from her store.

For my card I have used the wonderful witch image from Mo Manning, I think she's great. I die cut the image using the out of the box technique and die cut lots of circles, I stamped out the spider and attached to her broom - I wonder if thats what the cats scared of? I used the Kanban clock die for my midnight clockface and I stamped the bat and wicked witch from a clear stamp set from Docraft. I stamped and embossed the halloween greeting using a puff white embossing powder, I backed it all with some silver webbing and added some mirror mosaics and star bling. The image was coloured with Promarkers.
Well I hope you enjoyed my wicked witch and I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you spending the time and I love to read your comments!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Another quick post today, I made this card in support of breast cancer awareness and I will be posting it on Jacksons Digital Expression and Mema's Challenge blog.

The image is from McMahon Five and is coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from the Fizzy Moon collection by Trimcraft, I found some gorgeous pink metalic card in my stash that I used to frame the image and added a little lace.

I hope everyone will enter these challenges in support of Breast Cancer as I;m sure that everyone has been touched by this insidious disease and would like to help find a cure!

Thanks for stopping by and please to check out these challenges!

Colour Challenge

It's Tuesday again!
That means it's the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz and this week's colour choice was mine!

I took this picture at the RHS Flower show at Tatton Park, Cheshire, in the summer (what summer, lol!) and Guylou worked her magic and got the colours selected - she's so clever!
FOr my card I used the beautiful clothes peg fairy image from our sponsor this month, Inky Impressions.

I coloured the image with Promarkers, as usual then cut it out using a Spellbinders Label die which I inked the edges in green. I matted up some cute flowery paper onto some scarlet card for my background, the maple leaves are cut with a punch and the large leaf is cut with a die cut and the run through a rippler, the centre has been lined with green gems. I found some cute fabric butterfiles and the red bow in my stash a.nd then finished off with the graduated red pearls from Mei Flower who do some great bling at very reasonable prices.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it and would love you to leave a comment!

Through the Craftroom Door

Hello everyone, I've been having a crafty day today and managed to get two cards made so far so I'm really getting ahead with my challenge cards!
I want to share a card with you that is in the latest Throught the Craftroom Door Magazine. I don't know if you subscribe to it, I would heartily recommend it there are some fabulous tutorials and amazing projects as well as some great free digis! Great value for money.
So my card features the Poppy Heart from Indigo Blu - I think it is one of my favourite stamps.

I used some Centura Pearl card to make the basic card and cut the heart aperture out on my Cricut. I then stamped the outside of the card withe the Poppy Heart stamp randomly all over front and back with Memento Black Tuxedo.
The image was them stamped oonto some Neenah card and coloured with Promarkers, I cut a frame of red silk paper and mounted this behind the aperture on the front. I think the overall effect is fabulous and I have used this stamp two or three times in different colour combinations and it looks good every time!

Thanks for stopping by I do appreciate your visit and love to read any comments you may leave - see you soon!

CDAC Progressive Challenge #20

I have been taking part in the Crafters Digital Art Center progressive challenge and today I would like to share the latest challenge card with you.
The image, Lazy Cat, was drawn and provided by Priscilla Styles and she has created this image in three styles, Halloween, Christmas or just Lazy and I do think she has captured a cats character perfectly!

I coloured the image with Promarkers and some metallic markers. I layered it onto some gold bubble card which has a nice effect and then used some embossed mulberry paper. The base card is from Centura Pearl which has been layered with some poinsettia printed vellum. The poinsettias are from a Marianne die cut and the greeting is precut and was bought from my local craft store last year, I finished it off with a little red organza bow.
I can see this image being used a lot this year for Christmas cards!

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time and I love to read your comments!

Outlawz Color Challenge

Hi everyone, it's Tuesday again and this weeks challenge was chosen by Roxann

What a challenge this proved to be! I really had to rack my brains until I came up with something that I thought was passable!

For my card I decided to go steam punk, I used some wonderful paper that I got from Costco a couple of years ago that is very grunge/steam punk in design. I layered it up with some mustard card embossed with cogs and things again very steam punk, I then stamped out some clock with a set of Kanban stamps that I have and finished with some marquasite letters - I hope you like it!
Very different from my normal style and way, way outside of my comfort zone but I think I pulled it off!
Thanks for stopping by, I do appreciate you taking the time and I love to read your comments!

Sentiments Challenge

Hello everyone, its the second Sentiments Challenge over at Lady Annes Papercrafts and this weeks theme is Sport with a twist of brads.

I used a digi from Mayzy Art which was a freebie with a purchased digi.

I used a sheet of Centura Pearl card to make the base card then layered it up with a sheet of green paper that I tore around to give the impression of a Wanted Poster.
I coloured the image with Promarkers and coloured the background using a primrose Promarker and the blender pen to give it an aged effect. I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it with some ultra chocolate embossing powder.
The other members of the design team have made some fabulous inspirational creations so do pop on over and check out this weeks challenges!
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit and love to read your comments!

Color Challenge!

It's time for the colour challenge over at the Outlawz again! Time flies when you're having fun! I hope everyone is having a good day/week.

This week's colours were chosen by Teresa and the fabulous inspiration photo!

What an amazing photo!

For my card I used an image from Digi Street, a cute robot. I coloured the image with Promarkers.

I started off with a base card of orange and layered it up with the blue paper that's  over printed with Happy Birthday, I don't remember who the papers from as I've had it for quite a while. The orange central paper is from a Raspberry Road freebie set and prints our really well. I used some Papermania spotted brads and a cute fabric padded star that I had in my stash and finished it off with some blue grossgrain ribbon and orange square gems. It made a great kids card the young man that received it thought it was cute!

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate your comments!

It's TUESDAY!

Well its Tuesday again, I missed last Tuesday as I was away and it was also my 60th birthday!

Todays inspirational picture was picked by Guylou and I'm sure there will be lots of ladies drooling out there!

Aren't they just fabulous colours for a masculine card? I used another image from Saturated Canary coloured with Promarkers.

I found some Marine Blue card in my stash and the great brown striped paper from Papermania. I added some buttons with some raffia for decoration and used another of my freebie greetings from the magazine set of sentiments! I hope you like it!
This months sponsor for the Colour Challenge is Inky Impressions and the winner will get 3 digi's of their choice!

So I hope you'll all come on over and join us for the Color Challenge at the Outlawz!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lady Annes Sentiment Challenge

Well hello everyone, I'm a little behind with my posts as we were in Cornwall last week and I'm still playing catch up!
The first Sentiments Challenge started over at Lady Annes on Friday 31 August and will run for two weeks. I was invited to join the DT and felt honoured that someone thought my work good enough! Its also nice to be in at the beginning of this new site and I look forward to seeing it grow and grow!

The challenge this time was 'encouraging' with a twist of corners.

My card features a Saturated Canary image called Fancy and Krista gave it away on her blog - isn't she fabulous!
I coloured her with Promarkers and glittered her dress with some super fine irridescent glitter. I added some dots of silver Stickles to her hair

The corners are cut from a Memory Box die with some pearls added to make them pop. The doiley is cut with a Cheery Lynn die and the pretty paper is from one of the Nit Wits Collections, Lace and ribbon from my stash. The sentiment was a freebie with a craft mag, part of a set of clear stamps that are proving very useful! Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope everyone is having a great day and thanks for stopping by!
